As for the base gun, I chose a KJW because they're TM compatible and are a pretty decent company. The full metal setup helps too, and since I was going to use CO2 mags, I dont have to worry about the gas efficiency issues of single stack green gas mags.
Now I just have to source the parts I need. The hardest part is the silver lower lol. Thank you for the info, I appreciate it and I hope I can show off my build in some time lol

It basically has a thick shoulder strap on the gun side (right side) and another thinner strap that goes around your left shoulder. There is also a belt attachment point for stability. I got it as a gift and it really isn't my thing, since it is hard to wear a chest rig with it. It looks pretty cool though. If you really want it, I will get it and take a picture of my specific one, but it looks exactly the same as it did new.

Not a shill, but I recently got this clone and it's been pretty alright. The inserts have "Kydex" or some kind of plastic that aids with retention.

Soak all the plastic parts in this dye. Friend of mine did a stock on his masada with it.
If you want a hard case with foam, any quality one that's been used will require new foam because it will be cut/plucked already. I suggest buying a new Pelican case (because buy once cry once and there aren't really any other options worth it out there). One of these will have you set for life.
Just throwing my two cents in, if you get a really good offer on one buying new foam might be worth it so there's always that.
