If they still made plasmas, I'd buy one. The newest, highest-end TVs are getting pretty good, but the OLEDs just aren't as amazing as they are claiming they are. Projectors are still the best for image quality, but they cost an absolute fortune for a real 4k projector and still a ton for a 1080p one (don't trust the Amazon listings, the no-brand "1080p" projectors there are usually 800x600 at best; they just have an HDMI input so they are "1080p compatible".)

I have a color reference sheet that a friend in the printing industry gave me a while ago; i have no idea what the official term for it is, but it's a plastic sheet with the reddest, yellowest, greenest, blue-est, etc shades of each of those colors I've ever seen. It's fun to hold it up to the TV and compare TV green to a 'real' green (and green is so often slightly off-color), TV red to 'real' red, etc. The sheet isn't supposed to be used like this, it's supposed to be used against printed material rather than emissive things so it's impossible to actually get the lighting right for the sheet because the light would wash out the TV image. But if you see it outside I daylight you get a good idea of the full color spectrum. Edit: its a lot like this, except it doesn't have exterior borders so it's easier to hold up to things and compare, and some of the blocks are extremes of the shades rather than 'natural' colors. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000JLO31C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_LZuSDbT4TEZ1R

I too had a lecturer who was published, but would always make sure that his students always had access to his materials for free. Interesting read if your into video games and fan behaviours! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Playing-Videogames-James-Newman/dp/0415385237

> you have to have your email registered here for it to be legit, and i never register anything

I was just using Reddit as an example. Here is my main point: there may be 30 clever ways to cross reference exactly who you are IN THE FUTURE at some point when the government links up all their databases and runs some AI on it.

Every time somebody says "it's perfect, I'll never be caught" it sets off warning bells. Since your cell phone knows who you are and talks with cell towers in your area at every point in time, if you cross reference your location (from the cell phone) with your laptop's IP address every time you post to reddit from a laptop, it narrows down the choices. Then you browse other websites, or check your email, and you leave a little trail. Understand me: YOU ARE TOTALLY SAFE TODAY, the question is whether this will be true in 5 years?

If you haven't read it, I HIGHLY recommend "American Kingpin" which is the story of catching the Silk Road operator Ross Ulbricht. Ross kept saying over and over again "you can't catch me, the dark web can't be tracked and Bitcoin can't be traced". He is now in jail for the rest of his life, so he was wrong. :-) One of the ways they caught Ross was because he posted several times to different forums (under the name "Altoid" - not his real identity) referring to Bitcoin and Silk Road very very early on, YEARS before they had any interest and caught him. But the forums kept the history around (like reddit) and when it came time, the data was there for the FBI to track him down.

Ross BECAME super careful later, when Silk Road took off. He encrypted his laptop and never used a user name twice - but that history when it didn't seem to be a big deal yet is what got him caught.

Victorinox Fibrox handle knives are great for the money. However, I love this bread knife. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000PS1HS6/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here in the US, Avery glue sticks were the glue stick, far superior to Elmer's or, god forbid, RoseArt. Don't know if they're still that good.

Seriously tho I would return this crap. False advertising and they probably don’t last as long as crayola brand. Yes might spend an extra $ on it but I’ll get my money’s worth!

See!!!

I splurged and got these kitchen shears - they fly through these now. It's actually enjoyable to just dismantle the packaging in seconds.

I'm not sure if you can get Pritt Stick brand where you are, but in the UK they seem to be the gold standard of glue sticks.

For a few years my Mum used them for textile swatch samples. (Image, Wiki) Growing up I had as many glue sticks as I could get my hands on!

Legally the pumps have to have auto-shutoff on the recirculate thing, so while the auto-fill things are gone, it'll still shut off. So figure out a way to hold the handle down, and use that. Maybe one of those large squeeze clamps, or measure the handle and wedge a chunk of wood in place.

As for the screen and audio? Pop in some earplugs, then buy a pad of 8.5 x 11 post-its:

...pull one off and put over the screen.

Take a look at this book sometime. Someone with a phd in physics wrote it. I think he knows more about logic and what can or cannot be deduced from the scientific method.
