I just use one of these.

I get to keep my fingers for use for the rest of the year that way.

Ediy: and yes I just realized that sounds like I mean I'm only keeping my fingers until New Years. Oh well.

My guess would be something like a cigar cutter? Or a pair of yellow keys? Considering you don't have to worry about splintering or tissue damage seems like the easiest way.

This is amazing. If this is real then I’m buying one right now.

Edit: it is. Here is the link. Stocking stuffers!

Yeah it's a mediocre mistake to use paint over the food spray.

In case one hasn't read the reviews on amazon it has a good number of reviews and questions that are on point.

The diagnosis of schizophrenia itself is highly malleable. You should check out this book. The DSM is an interesting tool insofar as it is essentially universally accepted as the gold standard for psychiatric diagnosis but it has a very troubling and complex history. The rate at which it is revised is also interesting because it can have a profound impact on society for about 10-15 years, and then the next revision might contain alterations and edits that alter diagnostic criteria or completely de-pathologize conditions.

So one year you’re cracked up and the next you have a sexual orientation. That’s pretty fucked up if you think about the impact that a diagnosis has on any one individual’s life. Add to that the fact that the treatments available for complex conditions like schizophrenia are...pretty shitty. Many drugs used to TREAT schizophrenia have debilitating and permanent symptoms themselves (look up tardive dyskinesia). We must be very, very cautious in the way we approach the diagnosis of schizophrenia, let alone the interactions of psychotropic substances on those who carry a diagnosis of schizophrenia. Despite the seemingly enormous leaps in understanding that we have made about genes and genetic disposition, we actually have very little that is of practical use. We hardly understand how the brain works, so to then complicate this by studying associations between “episodes of psychosis” (the diagnosis psychosis itself has a long and storied history) and schizophrenia is....realllllllly speculative. We’re making assumptions about assumptions. I will venture to say it is in many ways unscientific.

You’re so right. Even Dylan Klebold’s mom pushed back on the “they were mercilessly bullied” storyline. There was a persistent culture of cruelty at the school, but there were only a few instances where Dylan and Eric were the victims of it, and some where they were the perpetrators.

I actually just finished Sue Klebold’s book, A Mother’s Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy, which is excellent.
