🚨 Reminder regarding the share of articles - please make sure to read it first before share. We have option to pick and choose which article to support. Don’t just share bc it says BTS, share only bc it’s worthy of being read/shared. Not every writer will care for fact checking. So read and reread even read again if need before share.

💡 Spotify has option to “block artist/don’t play this artist” so use it, put the option to use. Block any artist you want to to give support to. I’ve blocked a lot bc I also use tth Spotify playlist during early weeks of track promo, it’s to show we the track on tth. But I refuse to give even a single stream to artists I don’t want to support. I’m us army, x.x” there are a lot of artists I can’t separate music from the person...

Most importantly 💜 enjoy BTS music, enjoy listening, sharing, talking, crying over BTS music with fellow ARMYs 💜 send BTS encouragement and energy as they do promotions 💜 take care of yourself as you party with the ARMY for PERSONA 💜

Oh gosh. Oh boy. Absolutely the book Radical Acceptance. It's a mixture of psychotherapeutic techniques rooted in mindfulness and buddhist philosophy but it's so in line with BTS's recent concepts and slots in so well with so many of the values they stand for as a group. It's just really, really good.

Also, my favorite non-BTS band, Sakanaction. They're a music group that I've always felt has a worldview and purposefulness very similar to BTS. Much of their music consists of musings on all the pain and melancholy and loneliness in life but done in such a way that brings it all together and reminds us that we're not alone, we're all searching for something and doing the best that we can.

Some recs: Eureka (imho the spiritual brother of Seoul from Mono, except the song is about Tokyo), Aruku Around (about the relentless search for meaning in life), Music (about the creative drive to create music & its power to move and delight in spite of human suffering), Native Dancer (literally cannot understand what the lyrics are trying to say but it's such a great song). I think Namjoon would dig them, bigtime.

Also, The Dispossessed is a great recommendation!

Hi there, I'll give you a rundown on how I did it: I had the ticketmaster website with on my computer, made sure I was all logged in and my credit/debit cards were saved on there. I recently bought this wifi extender/router thing (so I could stop lagging in overwatch) and put it in my room where I bought the tickets. I also have xfinity internet, idk if that matters? Just to test it out, I used my wifi router on my computer and had the mobile apps ready on my iphone and ipad but these were using my regular wifi. I refreshed exactly at 4pm est, my computer was notably much faster than my ipad/iphone. I think it might have been a mix of my router, internet provider, a stroke of luck and a blessing from the kpop gods and jesus. I don't know, it couldve all been 100% pure luck and the router might not have made a difference, but this is what I did. Hope that helps!

edit: update! for kicks, I was able to also get P1 GA tickets for Anaheim doing the same thing I did for Newark. so I guess it works! fyi I probably can't afford to go to both, but I live in Chicago so its nice to have the option to go to either, now its a matter of choosing where.

The instagram links posted under the video no longer work. The posts seem to have been removed after ARMY started taking notice of what seems to be a heavy case of plagiarism of Fake Love.

Here are the links in question:

Content of the post

Both the video on Youtube and the song posted on Spotify, iTunes and Amazon Music seem to be heavily plagiarizing Fake Love and also have some lines that say similar things to what Fake Love says, although they’re not the same. When ARMY discovered it, they started commenting under the video about this issue but the artist started removing their comments.

Additionally, the two instagrams linked under the video were deactivated, the like/dislike ratio was hidden and the description under the video was modified to suddenly say that this was a sample/remix of Fake Love.

We have a screen recording evidence of the video description before it was modified as well as a screen recording of the song uploaded on Spotify and the fact that the links under the video no longer lead to active instagrams (which can be seen in the screen recording of the YouTube video).

We added a screenshot from his instagram where he poses with a white mask in his hand, which seems like a clear reference to both Fake Love and Singularity. We know this doesn’t qualify as plagiarism, but it’s worth adding to the proof, seeing the context, showing that he knew what he was doing and he’s not apologetic about it.

We had two screen recordings of two conversations that he had with two ARMY in which he says that no copying was involved and greatly insults both BTS and ARMY, but for legal reasons we had to remove them from the google drive link. In case you need it we can provide a transcription or send the video to you, but please consider that these are private dms, made public by the two ARMY.

Occasionally it comes up that people want to know what Books RM has read, so I figured I would start a thread since one was revealed today on his bedside table. The Amazon description (courtesy of u/akpheart):

"This book tackles the collective socialization of manhood and provides an in-depth look at the experiences of boys and men. In an effort to understand the many aspects of “what it means to be a man,” Porter suggests the topic is worthy of being rethought, challenged, and even redefined. This book will help men—fathers, husbands, brothers, coworkers, etc.—unpack and correct those realities.

Breaking Out of the “Man Box” boldly exposes the connection between male socialization and the quest to end violence against women and girls. Porter provides an honest and transformative experience, empowering men to create a world where men and boys are loving and respectful—and a human race where women and girls are valued and safe. On the heels of national movements and initiatives such as the NFL’s NoMore.org, this book provides men with the knowledge and understanding to explore how to create that world."

lol my parents get tired of it too but they cant deny my request because they love it just as much as i do. my mom cant find her really old one from when we were kids BUT she bought this one a year ago and has been getting recipes from it since then. I personally recommend making the 참치전 (tuna pancake) with some kimchi fried rice. i make that when i'm in between classes because it's fast and it tastes sooooo good. it reminds me of my childhood.

I think yall are reading way too deeply into this. By brow tattoo they were probably 1) joking and 2) referring to really common (and often cheap) products that are popular in Korean makeup, some of them come in brush tip forms like this and you paint on your brow, wait for it to set, and wash it off at night so you have a temporarily filled in brow for a few days. It's ideally used to save time in your daily makeup routine so you don't have to draw your brows everyday, so it's no different than wearing makeup and isn't a permanent tattoo at all. These products are so ubiquitous in Korea but not as much in the West which is why some people might have interpreted as an actual tattoo, but as someone who's super into K-beauty I immediately thought of the temporary product and not a real tattoo.

Also, I don't think it's the fans who tell them that they don't look good bare faced or whatever, it's probably just the fact that they wear makeup so often that sometimes they feel a little uncomfortable on camera without it, which honestly most people who wear makeup often also feel. Some people feel more confident with makeup on, and it's no one else's job to tell them that there's anything wrong with that.

Thank you so much! Is this what I’m looking for along with getting the workbook? Also since this is completely self-study, would I need the answer key that is shown below “customers who bought this item also bought”? https://www.amazon.com/GENKI-Integrated-Elementary-Japanese-English/dp/4789014401

The screaming is the most intense I've ever heard in my life. 😂

I have this pair of musician ear plugs that I wear to all the concerts I go to and even though they're really basic they're still great at drowning out the screams while preserving the quality of the music.

I think I honestly would have been really sad without them because when I took them out for a minute I literally could barely hear the music over the screaming in my section.

Well, Russia was eyeballing some northern Japanese islands and playing games with the Japanese government; it was a mess.

I don't know the text books, but I highly highly recommend Racing the Enemy:

Sadly there was no single textbook for this class, since it was a one of a kind thing, and I took it nearly a decade ago so I don't have my old school papers from it anymore. The professor is a huge advocate against nuclear power/weapons and spent many years searching for documents in both American and Japanese archives to make the course, so many of the materials were photo-copied articles or translations of articles. I'm kind of shocked she hasn't written her own textbook on the topic, but it appears that after Fukushima she has been focusing more on writing books that address the long-term and devastating effects of nuclear radiation in general rather than simply atomic bomb literature.

Some quick googling pulled up this book though : https://www.amazon.com/Atomic-Diplomacy-Hiroshima-Gar-Alperovitz/dp/074530947X
I haven't read it but the summary seems like it may follow a similar narrative to what I was taught. It looks like it focuses heavily on Soviet Union-related politics so perhaps you might enjoy reading it.
