I bought an Osprey and I seriously love it. The bladder and mouth piece are great, but the bag itself is the best part. It is pretty breathable and is very very comfortable to wear. 100% recommend.

People love the Mx40's. I got the Status Audio CB-1's for my gaming headset. If you're looking for an open back, people seem to really love the shp9500. Like i said, those are open back and are light on the bass. Another open back that people love in the price range are the HD 559. I've heard good things about the Massdrop x HiFiMAN HE-350.

Kind of depends on what you're looking for in terms of sound and where you're using them.

E: if you aren't dead set on new, i'd find something more expensive and check out /r/AVexchange. Really good deals and it's a bunch of people with headphone buying additctions. Just buy and sell constantly. I mentioned above, but i paid $350 for what would've cost me about $600 new after mods. I find that headphones is an area where people take care of their stuff because it takes a special kind of person to start dropping hundreds on headphones that aren't beats.

yo IDK who you are but I like to hope that your rig was inspired by what I use?

I've been recording with a zoom H1 on a monopod (pointing forward) for almost 2 years now, for outdoor/windy shows I would suggest getting this windscreen

Also I always have the lo cut filter off because it seems to make some bass sounds (especially drum samples and snares) sound distored as fuck, but it does reduce the bass levels which can be nice because Lo likes to crank that shit. Half of my recordings have been with the Lo Cut on and I don't like that anymore so i always keep it off.

As for the auto filter, yeah, always off. once you get used to recording you'll be able to recognize when the loud sounds/parts come and you can check the feedback to see if it's clipping and adjust accordingly. once you get the hang of it you only need to check on it a few times a set to make sure its all gravy. I don't have it down perfect, and my recordings always come out a little quiet in playback (which would be corrected by running an amplifier between the mic and the recorder which would require a standalone mic and the H1, which is way more gear than I want to mess with).

For me i turn the levels around 17-19 for the beginning of the show, and adjust from there. I like to have the highest "block" hit the 0 at the top only at the loudest parts, and then i turn it down one click, and if that top block at the 0 isnt lighthing up again then i turn it back up 1 (like going from 16 back up to 17). Basically you want that top 0 block lightning up but you want it to be at the lowest possible setting for that block to light up.

I've used an H1 like I said for 2 years, this is how I do it, and I'd love to hear some feedback if you find any better ways. also if you're curious www.tapersection.com has waaaaaay more info than you'd ever need

I have these. Theyโ€™re great. People also like the Etymotics and Eargasm plugs too. I have a pair of Eargasm plugs too that I got at an Excision show from his merch table, they work great.

this is my shit right here, shoutout /r/headphones

Best bet for your price range is probably ATH M50x, nice punchy bass while retaining a lot of detail in the rest of the frequency range

The Beyerdynamic DT770 are a little more pricey but worth the extra cash imo, again you get nice deep bass without sacrificing sound quality anywhere else and these bad boys are built like tanks

On the more budget-friendly side of things is the Sony MDR-V6, this is a straight up classic headphone that punches above its price point as far as sound quality goes although I personally would have some reservations about the non-detachable cable

There are a ton of other headphones that fit your general requirements and price range but these are the first three that popped into my mind!

Acid Dreams is the one that immediately comes to mind for me, mainly because the only reason I ended up knowing about it and picking it up was through a twitter recommendation by Lorin himself. It's quite an account of LSD culture and opened my eyes (pun intended) to some systematic lies that I never knew existed. Highly recommend if the subject matter is at all of interest to you! Cheers!!

It's your record player. The first $60 Bosley player I got did the same goddamn thing.

Invest in an Audio-Technica. It's around $90-99 and it's the best you can get for the value.

I wonder if they would allow us to bring in electrolyte packets for yourselves, since they are for safety. A little late for me anyway as I forget to order them.
