I carry a black plastic one that expands to conventions. I picked it up at Daiso for $4? It's basically this one (looks the same too!) A simple cardboard tube should do. I would get one with a larger diameter for flexibility. The mini posters they hand out for the dev signings tend to be heavy yardstick and don't roll up tight in a thinner tube.

I looked at these for the pins but they seemed too heavy. You might be able to get badges to stick to that as well. I ended up ordering some thick foam sheets and thin felt so I can make a lightweight display board for both.
