This post is also kind of a life hack as well. So see the telescoping wand attached to my hose? That thing is perfect for getting underneath the car to get off all the salt and shit from the road. I bought this item at Lowe's but here is the link on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Water-Blaster-Model-UWB-1/dp/B003FV3DAU

This thing will swivel 180 degrees too -- good for those pesky hoses that don't want to turn. This is a LIFE SAVER when it comes to cleaning your car (especially underneath). It never leaks and just seems to be good quality overall. I should post this on BIFL too. Hopefully this helps someone who needs to clean under their car more easily.

Wow that looks awesome ! Ima have to try it out. So you just clean the cover, tape and then just spray paint ? Is it really that easy ?

I have a 2012 LS and it's not the prettiest with the heritage wheels (although it has a muscular look), but I love it. I know gas mileage isn't a main concern, but I average about 25-26 miles per gallon and I don't drive it all that gingerly. Lacks the torque of a v8 for sure but if you like to rev the hell out of a car from 3k-5k consistently it's a blast.

There's a K & N performance air filter http://www.amazon.com/33-2434-High-Performance-Replacement-Filter/dp/B002EC0R4Q
that I plan on putting in which according to the reviews increases mileage while improving throttle response ever so slightly (2hp increase) if you reset the ECU.

Lastly, the tail lights on the 2010-2013 are the best IMO, even over the 6th gen.

Thanks!

I'm definitely a rookie that's been watching youtube videos to learn and haven't really spend much on tools.

As a test run I used Meguiar's Gold Class: https://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-G7164-Class-Shampoo-Conditioner/dp/B0009IQXFO/ref=sr_1_7?crid=BG425GLTKNPI&keywords=meguiars+gold+class+car+wash&qid=1555861387&s=gateway&sprefix=meguiars+gold+c%2Clawngarden%2C144&sr=8-7

Honestly, the result vs effort in this method is really good. It's not a spot on wash but it was a quick wash and cleaned up nicely overall. I will definitely keep working this method in the future.

looks great, maybe some DEI heat tape in either silver or gold for your air box? It will reflect the heat from your engine bay from heat soaking your air filter as fast. I use it for my supercharged camaro.

I use the silver just because of color preference, I hear the gold works a little better.

I went from Gen 5 to 6, get these with some velcro. Stick next to your right knee on the transmission tunnel for a good cell phone holder.

If you need a front plate, ZL1 Addons makes a great one I can vouch for.

Yeah the escort passport 9500xi. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001F0RPGG Does K, X, KA bands as well as laser. Also has GPS so it can tell you about known speed traps as well as red light cameras. This thing has saved my ass more times than I can count but also remember to not rely on it entirely. Sometimes cops don't leave their radar guns on all the time and only turn it on once you're in view and at that point you're screwed. But yeah, it's a must for any Camaro owner as I'm sure you're aware that this car does not want to go slow. Well worth the price as insurance rates only go up with points and tickets can be expensive, too

well then there are other options that don't move that still mount under the bumper.

But overkill is what makes these cars fun man. Or at least that's just me.

This mounts into the tow hook hole, so it's a screw in bracket, and doesn't mess with anything.

Another option

Thanks. I went with this stuff http://www.amazon.com/Eagle-One-1035605-Nevr-Dull-Wadding/dp/B000CNBI1A since it said safe on all metal. Worked really well. If I know for sure it was stainless I was going to go at it with some 0000 steel wool. I read that it's a bad idea to use that on chromed metal.

Buy a panoramic mirror and clip it on.

Here's a 11.75-inch version.

Here's the 17.75 inch version.

They'll take some getting used to, but once you do, you can see infinitely more behind you and to your left and right. I credit these mirrors with saving my life more than 10 actual times in all weather conditions. I won't drive any car without one now.

I'm in MN (2 plate state as well) and have gotten three no-front-plate tickets. They also gave me a ticket for having my rear renewal sticker covered since I was using this frame. At ~$130 a pop, it was cheaper and buy a fold-away plate holder.

Interestingly, all of those tickets were received when I was parked. I've never had issues when on the road/moving. Maybe it's because the cops are always behind me then ;)

Use these suction cups to stick it to the inside of the windshield a few inches up from the dash where it's clearly visible and you'll have no problems. They have strong suction, it'll never fall off. I use these also.

I used this one for my rebuild.

If you're technologically capable, you can buy an OBDII to ALDL adapter that will only reroute the wires so that you can connect a TechII or an ALDL to USB cable and try some tuning software to just read codes. I bought the stuff to try it but haven't invested much time in figuring it out yet.
Check out shoebox for all sorts of 4th gen technical information. If you look at the wiring for the ALDL and the 95, the only difference is the location of the wires, not their purpose or even their color coding.

Get a hide away plate frame that attaches to your under belly

http://www.pfyc.com/GN1046.html

or these little suction cups (this is what I use) to attach the plate to the inside of you windshield.

They are both pipes but one is a whole exhaust and the other is only the junction at which your two exhaust pipes meet. It'll it'll change the shape of your exhaust from an H to an X. If you can't weld you will have to take it to a shop however. I don't know what's in your area, but id say most places will do it for $150-$200
