Of course!

> it is why I stopped playing TCGs

I'll probably smack my forehead when I see the answer, but what's TCGs?

> There are some (CAH) cards I just won't be able to get

Yeah, I've got about 3000 cards, but I've long given up on trying to collect "everything"...it is a never-ending battle, as there are too many being newly created and there are too many that are created for special events that are too far away for me to get to.

> would I be breaking any kind of copy write rules if I were to use my blank white/black cards to hand write cards I do not own?

No, not to just handwrite them for yourself to use in your own deck.

> What about printing them?

Same answer, if we're talking about CAH items. You're breaking the Creative Commons license if you sell them. But if you print them yourself (say, to Avery labels...which is what I do, since my handwriting is lousy and marker ink tends to smudge with use), or get them professionally printed only for yourself, then that's okay. It gets trickier when you talk about 3rd Party expansions, however...some are Creative Commons license items, others (like Crabs Adjust Humidity) are copyrighted and if you get those professionally printed (even if just for yourself) then it might possibly be a copyright violation. I dunno, I'm not a lawyer. I stick to printing with Avery labels, and making sure that I mark on them what the source is (for example, on the homemade card shown here{yes, I sleeve my cards} the British pound sign and the "1.0" reminds me that this comes from the original version of the CAH Main U.K. deck).

People who make their own CAH sets (original or third party) and sell them (i.e., counterfeiters) are increasingly finding themselves run afoul of legal action (as they should). So stay away from that.

I hope this info helps!

When I bought either the original game or the first expansion, it came with a package of mini clothespins which I did not order. I always wondered if that was part of the game or an accident or someone did me a nice favor. In any case, they work perfectly for this scenario... not as hard to put on as paperclips (nor damaging), easy to keep together and mix-up, and kind of cute and fun.

Well, I guess that's my Amazon impulse purchase for the day ...

Most I got from a local tabletop gaming place, but I ordered a few from Amazon.
