Yes that can help with the results a lot if it was properly sealed after installation or any professional cleanings. Most people (including myself before learning otherwise) falsely think of sealers as a type of enamel that creates a barrier over the grout. In reality most all of the sealers are solvent based which impregnate the porous grout making it less likely that things can be absorbed and stain the grout. Ceramic tiles are not porous like grout so when we are talking sealers the actual tile isn’t really what’s getting any benefits from the sealer. If you have natural stone then yes the sealer can be absorbed to some degree and protect the stone.
You might be surprised what you can accomplish on your own in a shower with a safe grout cleaner and a stiff brush like this.
