I think Fundamental Chess Openings is exactly what you are looking for. It covers all openings though, but I think it could still be useful in case you switch to something other than 1.e4. It gives good explanations of main opening lines and delves pretty deep, but not super in depth. Most books on specific openings go into exhaustive details and at 1200 that just isn’t very useful.
One thing I found helpful was to do a bunch (1000s) of simple puzzles. You can do this with a paid membership on chesstempo or get a simple tactics book like Tactics for Students or 1001 Chess Exercises for Beginners.
Keep in mind, though, that you're not only studying tactics so that you can use them in games, you're also studying them to prevent your opponents from using them against you.
Puzzle above is a variation of a puzzle from Susan Polgar's book Chess Tactics for Champions (Link here: http://www.amazon.com/Chess-Tactics-Champions-step-step/dp/081293671X). I recommend that book for people who like to just sharpen their tactical combinations as it offers many puzzles for you to train on.
If you’re basically coming from no experience with chess or just a basic understanding Chess.com has some fantastic lessons on their free tier that will get you started in no time. If you want an actual chess set there are some that have the movements of each piece printed on them.

I know you asked for videos but there is a classic book called Logical Chess Move by Move that touts its 'every single move explained' approach. Might be up your alley if you are interested in a book.

Dunno. Maybe Tactics Time by Tim Brennan?
