I realize this might not be an option for you but if you're used to going through book examples / tutorials like I am this might be a good avenue for you. This was written by the guys who wrote beginning iPhone development. I know a few people who strictly use core-data after they've gone through this book for all of their persistence solutions. Pick up Aaron Hillegass' book and also look at the Apress series. For online stuff, cocoadevcentral.com is a good place and I'd also recommend the Objective-C Beginner's Guide. There's a ton of resources out there, just keep poking around online.

Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X
I also recommend that book, along with Programming in Objective-C which I feel gives a more in-depth overview of the underlying Objective-C base of Cocoa.
I don't think this is the book you're looking for but it has all of the things you listed, with the exception of cake maybe. I'm a chocolatier and this book is a god-send.
