I realize this might not be an option for you but if you're used to going through book examples / tutorials like I am this might be a good avenue for you. This was written by the guys who wrote beginning iPhone development. I know a few people who strictly use core-data after they've gone through this book for all of their persistence solutions. More iPhone Development

Pick up Aaron Hillegass' book and also look at the Apress series. For online stuff, cocoadevcentral.com is a good place and I'd also recommend the Objective-C Beginner's Guide. There's a ton of resources out there, just keep poking around online.

Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X

I also recommend that book, along with Programming in Objective-C which I feel gives a more in-depth overview of the underlying Objective-C base of Cocoa.

I don't think this is the book you're looking for but it has all of the things you listed, with the exception of cake maybe. I'm a chocolatier and this book is a god-send.
