I think this is the one you’re talking about:
Sistema 1870 Klip It Collection Rectangle Food Storage Container, 232 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00284AG5U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3cI-AbBBZ8PKE

It’s highly regarded on reddit haha. It’s definitely a great choice. I actually bought it and cedar trays (linked below) to be my set up. These cedar shelves are a perfect fit inside too! 2 can stack and fit like a glove. Unfortunately my apt is always outrageously warm so I had to get a wineador.

Shelves on amazon:
Spanish Cedar Cigar Tray, Adjustable Divider, Fits Large Humidors, Made with Solid Spanish Cedar, by Quality Importers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B9234HE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_JgI-Ab7WAXSV1

Any idea on best size please? I’ve been looking at a 7ltr one like this.

Puroexpress is generally considered a bit iffy around here. The main sites people use are ihavanas.com and cigarsofhabanos.com. Generally speaking you can only buy by the box from these sites, not singles.

In your situation, if I wanted to order online, I'd probably go for

Montecristo Petit Edmundo (10 box) $76

or

Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills (10 box) $79

These are both "medium size" cigars, they'll look a bit more impressive than the real cheapies (and probably smoke better).

Also be aware of storage, once you get them (wherever you get them from) you want to put them into a sealed container like this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lock-Rectangular-Storage-Container-Clear/dp/B0000AN4CJ/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1495015140&sr=8-10&keywords=lock+n+lock

Doesn't have to exactly that, just needs to be near air tight and big enough to hold them

And add one of these

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Boveda-72-Percent-Individually-Wrapped-Humidity/dp/B00GX47820/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1495015194&sr=8-2&keywords=boveda+72

That will keep them at the correct humidity until you want to smoke them.

Oh also you'll probably want a cutter

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Newyond-Cutter-Stainless-Guillotine-Scissors/dp/B01ABDHHBA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1495015247&sr=8-3&keywords=cigar+cutter

Love this one. Had it for a year plus now and still going strong.

Just start buying boxes now. Smoke one the day they come. This gives you a baseline. Smoke another after a few weeks, and a month, etc. Learn how much rest each one seems to need in your humidor to smoke the way that best pleases you. This controlled study can only be performed on cigars from the same box (or at the very least the same code).

Trust me when I tell you that you will indeed smoke all of them. No need to worry about buying too many. Just get boxes, dude. If you don't have enough variety, buy more boxes of OTHER shit. If you don't have enough space, buy a big wine cooler.

You're not going to really get a proper feel for what each of those cigars you're buying, can taste like, by buying fivers. I personally think fivers are best when you already know you really like a vitola, but can't justify the price of an entire box. Take the price-per-stick hit and call it your splurge.

I have 2 150 count humidors, nothing fancy, one is a glass top and one isn't. They both hold humidity well. I also have a large storage bin.

It's awesome

Easy to move, completely airtight, large enough to hold 20+ boxes

Adding to what he said - I permanently leave a big 62% boveda in the 5ct caddy so that it's always ready. Throw one of these arrows in your quiver, too, and you're all set.

100ct version, I think the price came down since I last looked-- Quality Importers Deauville 100 Cigar Humidor, High Gloss with Tobacco Leaf Inlay, Maple Finish http://amzn.com/B0055QM9W6

I don't use a tupperdor anymore because I barely smoke 2 sticks a month, I just pick up at my local stop the day before, so mind my ignorance with this next question.
If i get this, do I need to throw in boveda or? Does it need to be washed before use? Do i need to calibrate a hygro to use it? Thanks!

The original version of this stood up to ten years of abuse, and I mean real abuse, when I smoked cigarettes
