This is one of the best purchases I've made.

I can't vouch for the install procedure, but what I can do is recommend replacing the USB & charging board. It's very simple if you're even the slightest way technically minded. Just remove the screws on the back, split the case off the screen with a plastic card (ie, credit card), and disconnect the USB board. A replacement USB board was £15 when I did mine, so it's not an expensive repair, and it will make your life a whole lot easier :-)
