For my money, I've had the best results keeping it simple. I really like the sticky pads. One near the head and one near the base of my penis gives me great results every time. The accessory that really upped my game was 'hurt free tape', sold under many different brand names. The tape is flexible, so it grows with your erection and it doesn't stick to the skin, it just sticks to itself. So I use the tape to wrap around the shaft of my penis and so keep the sticky pads where they're meant to be and ensure that they make good contact throughout, from flaccid to ejaculation. This eliminates hot spots, pads falling off mid-stream, etc. Like the pads the tape is reusable, up to a point.

If you feel comfortable with soldering/assembly I would definitely advise building your own. I'm pretty sure my unit would cost around $40 and it is pretty robust and powerful enough for my needs. Although with a bit more money you can get a better transformer and amplifier which would help to keep it smoother than what I use. I am planning on building a transformerless unit in the future, but those guys are much harder and more expensive to build.

As far as electrodes and wires go, I personally use 2mm tens pins for all connectors. I found it helpful because I can connect the pins to everything I buy. I get electrodes from Current Pleasures and whether it is a conductive rubber tube, anal electrode, tens pad, or even metal electrodes they all take the same pin! If you can solder, you can buy these and some shrinkwrap and solder it in place of the snap connector (and throw a female pin terminal on the snap connector so now you have an adapter). It's incredibly helpful for me!

I have the Sacksling Electro myself...the electro part isn't that enjoyable, but the sling itself is excellent.

The only drawback with the TPR material is that it will tear if you cut it or punch a hole in it. (Thermoformed Polyurethane Rubber) isn't the most resilient material, and the same story with the Oxballs silicone stuff too.

I've had luck with plastic wrap, and even bondage tape works well since it sticks to itself nicely. I do a lot of shipping and receiving from a home office, and I've gotten a lot of "off-label use" from those AirPak cushions - cut an end off, poke a couple holes in the side, and it's a decent enough cover to prevent lube evaporation on the shaft. As for the perineum, I usually use an Oxballs CockSling 2 to keep loops apart, and the loops tend to stay lubed since the sling is right up against them and is lubed itself to slip on.

I made a great single pole anal electrode from a stainless steel muddler... all i did was attach a tens pad to it to electrify it and it was ready to go..works and feels amazing

I understand tri-phase more now, thanks!

I'm using the Smartstim's Midistim design, which I haven't built yet so I'm not sure how it all works. I've read the guide and have a vague understanding. But I'm not sure what you mean by output jack or wiring harness.

If you mean the 3.5mm to 2RCA cable, I think I'll get something like this.

If you mean the resistor + terminal blocks (I assume that's where electrodes are plugged in?) I'll be getting both from Allied Electronics from the p/n listed in the Allied Electronics part list at the bottom.

Here is where I'm getting my parts unless something's wrong with it. I'm listing all in case you meant something else or want to take a look at the specs.

Both these from Amazon: Amplifier and PSU

These 5 from Allied: Resistor, Transformer, Terminal Block, BLK Patch Cord, RED Patch Cord

The rest like plate and cable ties, I'll have to find in a store (I'm not familiar with any diy but I'll get it eventually).

I also read your reply in that other thread about the quality of transformers. It seems the Allied one is the same as the Zoro one in the smartstim downloaded parts list. The quality should be good then as long as nothing goes wrong.

edit: I need to find a new source for the 1 or 2 terminal blocks, Allied require a minimum of 100... I heard the terminal blocks don't need to be exact so I can get away with a variation. I found this terminal block and it might work.

This is the one i have. Actually tried it on a woman last night and it went over veeeeeery well. Once you are ready to branch out into more expensive stuff, PM me and I'll show you the sites I use. Also depending on where you live, you can go to some sex shops that sell kink items and get some ideas.

I use this, what you linked looks to be adhesive not just lubricant. It's gel, it isn't runny and it gets tacky but not sticky.

I bought a cast aluminum cup (https://www.amazon.ca/Windy-Ringside-Traditional-Steel-Kickboxing/dp/B007YJZCE4) and drilled a hole in it with a hole drill bit that was big enough for my cock to fit through. The description says it's steel, but it's really aluminum, so not too hard to cut through. Then I attached a wire. In this setup I paired it with an anal electrode.

This is the tens unit FDA cleared OTC HealthmateForever... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00O7CM12W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This is the butt electrode Erotistim Probes (A1 - Adjustable) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M58WHGU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I need to make the most of what I have. I know where the buttplug goes, the pad however....

Wherever I put the pad is where I feel the tingling sensation, not in the butt where the prostate is. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but plugging in both the buttplugs ports leads to an unpleasant sensation.
