You did pretty good there.

If you want to do better, get a cheapo macro attachment for your phone camera.

Another example.

Hello =] I just got a Nikon D5300 and bought a cheap macro extender kit to use with the 18-55mm kit that came with the camera, the d5300 has a flip out screen so i flipped it over so i could see what i was doing on the screen whilst shooting it. For the unnatural photo i just used the camera's flash, for the natural l sat beneath a skylight. i hope this helps =]

Well, my camera isn't an SLR, so I didn't really have any lens setup. The camera I use is a Panasonic Lumix FZ40. I used it on the Program setting, and set it to "Macro Zoom." I'd get it to focus as much as possible, turn the flash on (my eyes hurt SO MUCH after taking these pictures), and go. This picture turned out the best; in the other pictures, it was more focused on the reflection of the lens than on the actual eye.

EDIT: I also want to mention that I had it on the highest exposure setting.

Not dumb at all! :) I was using Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express in Glam Black. In the past some of the tubes haven't been the greatest, so I also use CoverGirl LashBlast Fusion in Very Black.

This is the lens kit with the lens I used to take it! Shot on a note 5 with external light

They look almost silver. Do you have telekinetic powers too?
