My super qt calligraphy professor recommends this book and it's what I used for my picture! $3 used, and there are PDFs online (but I think a paper copy is easier to refer to when practicing).

Sheila Waters is kind of the grand dame of calligraphy and has a great book called The Foundations of Calligraphy that's a bit pricier but also good. $35 from John Neal (not on Amazon), but I think just the first book is a great start and enough for a loooooong time.

I'm really into nubuck lately, it's got the nuance of suede without its temperament. I do use a suede/nubuck protectant spray on it (this one). With black it's not really a concern but fwiw I sprayed it (lightly) on my brown APC booties and it didn't darken them. For brushing out scuffs, I like this kit for quality and price (the one that looks like it has villi is for nubuck). I brush my nubuck and suede things not every time I wear them like you're theoretically supposed to, but maybe like once a month when I'm procrastinating, and they look fine.

This shirt from amazon and the recommended pencil skirts or slacks is a great pairing. I also love the two in one dresses like this to look put together without a lot of effort

I just bought these and they're surprisingly classy and extremely comfortable!

I spent a stupid amount of time on Amazon browsing, and was pretty happy with this one when it arrived:
BESTIE 14" Cute Backpack Bookbag... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IAZALSC

But I've barely used it, so can't speak to durability. The snaps on the straps and handles really tone down the backpack feel, while still being very functional. I wanted a "classy" backpack.

Yes! I just bought these a month ago after a rather long search and I wear them daily in Chicago when it’s been snowing/ice/slush.
They’re comfortable and waterproof.

I bought the Fuji x100 used. Could've dropped ~$1500 on the x100s buuuuutt...nah. No huge difference between the two. I'm very excited to get it and start using it because the pictures it produces are really nice.

I found this one
It's the Camaro 45th Anniversary Jacket... looks pretty similar

Wow, was looking but the only thing a cursory search turned up that wasn't bright silver was this.

Will keep an eye out for you though.

Although, if you just want a silver-gray jacket, you should consider this.

Edit: man, this is sold out but really cool

Those Tretorns look really cool. I ended up buying Dr Martens Floras as cold weather "wet" boots. They're technically not supposed to be waterproof, but my feet haven't gotten wet in my other Docs.

Of all the rubber rain boots that is on my list, I think the Tretorn one is the most warm. The other rain boots I have on my list were leather...

Tretorn Gunnar rain boots - it looks like sneakers but they're actually rain boots

Kate Spade rubber boots - there's also a Jimmy Choo version but it had a shiny finish which kinda defeats the purpose of not letting other people know it's actually rubber

Melissa Rainboots - matte rubber

I'm looking for something like this Nine West wedge sandal, but a little bit more casual - in a nude, still with a wedge heel. My googlefu is weak.
