Used Book in Good Condition
I always felt the same way about waffle irons (and single-purpose appliances in general) but apparently they make stove top waffle irons. Its pretty awesome and takes up very little space in my cabinets. Sure, it requires a bit more babysitting than an electric one, but I dig it.
Not so much a tip or easy recipe, but I cannot stress how useful a book like Better Homes & Gardens New Cookbook is. Contains everything you need to know if you're moving out on your own. How to use and maintain your kitchen equipment, boiling/freezing points of everything you might need to know, basic and advanced cooking techniques, etc. Also comes with a section on mealplanning and the like.
Microwave spaghetti with this.
Make hard-boiled eggs with this.
Make microwave bacon with this.
They're small and cheap, and you can't argue with those amazon reviews. Makes great stocking stuffers.
Also, make microwave eggs.
Mmmm... now I want a bacon-egg-and-cheese croissant sandwich.
Just get this if you enjoy a no-fuss frothy milk/cream experience. Cheap and worth every penny. I've used it almost daily ever since getting it as a gift 5 years ago. It eats AA batteries, but that's what a Costco 40 pack is for. You can use it to mix up marinades and vinaigrettes as well.
I use a cast iron griddle is probably the best way I do mine if not using my gril: http://www.amazon.com/Lodge-Logic-LPGI3-Grill-Griddle/dp/B00008GKDQ
May I introduce the microwave bacon tray . It’s amazing.
I always found this rubber tube thing to work the best:

It's a bitch to clean though.
No they won’t be. But you can also trim the cake as well. Or
I believe they have spring loaded pans at the dollar store that come in a smaller circle. That would work good for icing.
Something similar to this:

Also: buy a box cake, add ingredients as per box. Add in one pudding cup for extra moist cake !
There's a great sous vide cook book called Under Pressure: Cooking Sous Vide that has a bunch of stuff at the back about cooking times and temperatures. The book is pretty expensive, but alot of those charts are available in the preview on amazon.
Cooking With Foil has some good base recipes.
I picked up my copy at a Cracker Barrel in rural Tennessee.
This reminds me of few things in Food Rules. This edible food like product would deserve to be eaten consciously instead of in front of a computer.
