It wasn't difficult at all. I went with a company called auxbeam on Amazon after reading around. They were plug and play and these don't trip the canbus sensor. The hardest part was changing the freaking passenger lowbeam because it's wedged against the wiper reservoir and I murdered my hand but I got it done lol.

I went with these for the lowbeams cause I wanted white light but they have other shades. The key is to make sure you match the part type for the bulbs to their halogen counterpart.

Auxbeam Led Headlight Bulbs F-S3 Series 9005 HB3 H10 Led Headlight Conversion Kit 72W 8000LM CSP Chips Fog Light (Pack of 2)-1 Year Warranty https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01L1NLOKE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_i1uhnz6zI6DyO

Oh and be sure to find yourself a good online video off YouTube to adjust the projectors to make sure they are levelled right. Honestly it'll take you maybe 30 minutes or so. :)

Hopefully someone didn’t piss in your vents lol, I haven’t had that specific smell, but as an Uber driver that had a 2017 Escape, I can tell you, that if you put your AC in Recirculate and put it on max, go on your passenger side, and near the intake, on the floor board up under the glove box, spray some Febreze. Personally I like the “fresh” the can looks like this it smells more like fresh laundry more than it does Febreze, not too overwhelming. Cycle between feet, face and defrost vents. It makes a world of difference!

This brand has been on my 2012 Escape for about a year now. I LOVE the way the light looks, and no one ever high beams me for my lights being too bright.

Just note: my 2012 escape bulb size is h13. Your 2004 escape bulb size is H4 (if you have factory housing). Happy shopping

If you are in the city the bulbs burn out faster because you have to keep pressing the brakes. Bulbs usually burn out when turning on.

- I have replaced all the bulbs in my dad's car with LED bulbs. Been over a year and they hasn't burned out, before I had to replace them for him every 2 weeks or so. (This is for Camry running as taxi)

For the brake lights and day lights, I have the Auxbeam 3157 LED Light Bulbs and Auxbeam 194

For the headlights I have the Auxbeam LED Headlights F-S2 Series H11

Very good bulbs. I also have them in the 2008 escape. But I just bought it like 2 weeks ago so we will see.

Similar to this: https://www.amazon.com/3000-Hooks-Steering-Wheel-Yellow/dp/B004HNT4WQ

It won't stop somebody with tools, but it will slow them down or encourage them to choose a different car.

Try replacing the blower motor resistor. Basically there are four resistors built into this piece. Each allows more / less power to the motor thus controlling the speed of the fan. These resistors wear out over time. I replaced it on my 2012 because speeds 1 and 2 weren't working. For less than $20 and 20 minutes, it is an easy thing to check.

I got this, then put the software on my laptop.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MQ8GHG3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And i also have a bluetooth adapter for the forscan iphone app that i've had forever.

The forscan website has a list of compatible adapters and an excellent forum as well.

You don't have to reprogram anything. Just pop the adapter in, launch the software, select the "clear transmission parameters", then unplug and drive. Its a little wonky at first as the computer learns but drive normal and it will learn after a few miles.

I don't have a picture right now but it's located under the car on the passenger side where the turbocharger is. I'm thinking the easiest way to access the solenoid is the jack up the passenger side of the car, remove the wheel and splash guard and have at it that way.

Here is the Wastegate solenoid withe hoses attached

And here is the Bypass Solenoid

I have one of those battery pack jump starters... I have used it more than once for the Escape, and several times for friends and family who needed a start. Jumper cables are nice, but another car isn't always around.

This isn't the one I have, but this is what i mean:

I have this one and it's worked well. Viofo cameras are basically cheaper versions - same hardware different name brand. I personally went with street guardian because it was highly rated and recommended, also reported to have excellent customer service as well.

When I went to put in my rear camera, I found this tutorial helped me get it so I didn't have a random wire hanging out. I did the entire install myself and it was very easy. The next thing on my list is to figure out the fusetap size so I can have it hardwired.

***Word of warning with dash cameras + Ford Escape; if you have it using a 12v port, the 12v ports are ALWAYS on. I have my camera set to motion activate, but it can and will kill your battery running constantly if you don't unplug it. I personally have a battery charger in mine to help keep the battery from dying because I want my camera going (motion activate means it triggers when someone walks in front) and I have yet to do a permanent install, which would mitigate the need for a battery charger.

I got these, they were 100x better than the OEM ones

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JNEBF1M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Its just been a year since I got them, no rust or anything

u/sonsue · 3 pointsr/fordescape

Is it one of these? Check and see where the wires go. If it's not a real alarm indicator it might be a dummy.

u/jugglefire · 2 pointsr/fordescape

I can only assume that what you're looking for is a fuzzy pink steering wheel cove because fuzzy pink. This one is over the top

u/Glassmon · 2 pointsr/fordescape

I put these in:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NJ3KYGU/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_awdb_GPlIyb5HGBDB4

They are extremely bright, almost blinding. They fire light everywhere and don't work very well actually cutting through any fog. That being said, they provide enough light in some cases to drive through a completely dark road without having your headlights on.

They closely match the colour temp of both my HID's and my led acents on my titanium. I'll try to get a picture posted.

I had a ‘14 and traded it in so I’m not sure if it would work or not.
