My current mic has good audio quality for both what you say and what you hear. After two years of flawless performance, I think this bad boy has earned my heart. The only downside is that it is rather expensive.
If you have a pair of decent headphones you could pick one of these up, and hook that up to your TV audio out (if it has one) then tape your mic to the outside, and set voice to play through your speakers. Voila, DIY Turtle Beach/Tritton headphones! :)

Right now I use this thing that has served me well.
As of next week I will be combining these headphones with this and this so I can finally hear people behind me.
Also, this question has been asked numerous times on this subreddit.
But, I do have Bose QC15i's that I might get a mic for. They're good as fuck headphones.
