BOOTS AND SHOES I love boots and shoes you have no idea the terror you've unleashed.
Docs
Always, always Docs. Lowest prices are usually on either Amazon or ebay.
Vans
I fucking love Vans, and they've only been getting better with leather and futuristic options.
Converse
I'm a Vans girl through and through, but these rubber high-tops have been tempting me for months. Colors other than black are on sale.
Ash
I adore Ash boots and shoes, even though one pair has only really worked for me so far. I still live in hope, though. The trick is to add these to the 'saved for later' part of your Amazon cart, check every day, and jump when the prices drop.
I have ordered and sent back these shoes because they didn't work for me personally. But I have thick, chunky calves and short legs. (Thanks, Dad, former linebacker for Purdue!) The shoes themselves were good.
These shoes/boots I haven't tried yet, but are on my watch list.
L.A.M.B.
Gwen's clothing is hit-or-miss and her bags are overpriced, but usually you can grab her futuristic-looking shoes a year or two later for under $100. These are heels and sandals.
I love love love leather dye it really is so easy. I have dyed coats, purses, boots, and a pair of pants so far. I use Fiebings Leather Dye amazon link. There are lots of tutorials out there but I'll tell you what works for me. This is for boots because I wanted them to last, purses coats etc were a lot less steps but anyway!
0-I didn't do this step because the chemical is illegal to buy in California but if you have a coated leather piece, something that's really shiny is usually how you would tell I gather, you would use a leather stripper here. But again I never did this.
1-Wash with Fiebings Saddle Soap
2-After it dries paint on your leather dye. I always did two coats although a lot of times it didn't need it.
3-After that dries buff the item to remove excess dye. If you forget to do that (like I do sometimes) dye will rub off on stuff.
4-Coat the item with something to perseve leather. I use either Obenauf's LP Boot Preservative or Obenauf's Leather Oil
That's it! And I definitely find the item looks a lot better after dye. The Obenaufs makes leather look amazing. And it's not animal oil so I like it a lot more than mink oil say.
This subreddit convinced me to let out the "alt on the inside" part of me.
I invested yesterday & today and here are the things I expect to get :
I look forward to receive them.
I am also considering buying this shirt :

Have you considered aiming for a goth/dark mori look? It's goth that focuses on comfortable, soft loose-fitting clothing in the mori (forest-girl) style and might be right up your alley!
Goth Ninja might also work for you, as it involves a lot of cozy streetwear and drapey items. I love to do a simple black tee, black harem pants, black combat boots, and my favorite weird bag for a basic goth ninja look.
Have you tried plastic sealing the windows? It REALLY helps. Not the right size, but you get the idea. No damage and easy to remove in the spring when you want to use the window.
You had a crazy day, I hope you can relax a bit!
I got a set of slip on ear cuffs (one pair polished steel and one pair black) in the mail yesterday. They are very comfortable ear cuffs that stays on snugly at the helix.

No worries. If you have a long haired kid who attends school, you're probably going to have at least one run-in with them. Remedy has had them twice over the years :/
If you want a couple of product recs, this is great for treatment, and this line works well for prevention :)
I have found Acceptance and Commitment Therapy incredibly helpful (for many things, but especially this). Most health insurance covers counseling, which is appropriate for anyone who feels their life isn't working for them and wants to make changes. If you'd prefer the self-help route, here are some books: basic intro, anxiety-specific, and self-confidence specific.
I got these sunglasses last year and they've been good. I'm really clumsy with sunglasses so I tend to stick in that range too haha. It's the UK Amazon but you might be able to find some similar ones on the US version
These are a few of the things I want.

I just read a story last night about silk moth women! Very disturbing though. It's the second story in this collection if you're interested.
[OOTD] (https://imgur.com/a/UTvIv) with hair fading and accessory details. Kind of lame since I covered most of the outfit with this giant blanket scarf, but it feeds into the "programmer librarian sorceress from the future" part of my aesthetic. Having kind of a fashion goals crisis right now so I'm going to try to post more OOTD so I'm forced to describe and discuss them :)
Also, I'm in need of some boot advice. I just bought both of these boots, which I've been stalking for months, but I only want to keep 1 pair maximum. First [Second] (https://www.amazon.com/FRYE-Womens-Parker-Tall-Lace-Up/dp/B00IZY1HAK)
I think that this would feed well into my general "sorceress from the future" thing, as well as the militaristic stuff. I guess I just feel nervous about buying such un-stompy boots. Any feedback about these conceptually? I'm also worried how they will look on my short legs but we'll cross that bridge once they arrive.
