I currently have 3 cases.

  • Galaxy Note 4 Case, Spigen® [Perfect-Fit] Galaxy Note 4 Case Slim NEW [Fit Series] [Thin Fit] [Smooth Black] Premium Matte Finish Hard Case - I ordered this one before I got my Note, just to ensure I had something to put on it. It's very minimal and therefore looks good as it doesn't detract from the design. I actually had my first drop from the couch to the tile floor and, fortunately, there was no damage!
  • Galaxy Note 4 Case, i-Blason Unity Series 2 Layer [Ultra Slim] Armored Hybrid Cover For Samsung Galaxy Note 4 [SM-N910S / SM-N910C] with Inner Soft Case - This was the 2nd case I purchased. I thought I was going to be "stuck" with a white Note 4 and this was the nicest case I found at the time that would complement the color of the device. First time I've bought one from i-Blason. The black rubber showing through at the edges provides a nice contrast. I was not entirely happy with the cutouts along the bottom, in particular. The case doesn't seem to follow the contours of the phone very well. Otherwise, seems like a fine case that would provide a good level of protection.
  • Galaxy Note 4 Case, Spigen® [Dual Layer] Galaxy Note 4 Case Protective NEW [Slim Armor] [Metal Slate] Dual Layer Protective Case - This is the case i'm using now. I was able to switch to a black Note and decided to give this a try. I've been a fan of Spigen from previous devices (Galaxy S3 and S4). The case looks great on the Note! Very complementary! Yes, as you may have read, it is smooth and not "grippy". I haven't had any issues with it slipping out of my hands, though. The cutouts are just fine on my AT&T model and look much better than those on the i-Blason case. I can't comment on possible scratching at this time, but I'm not one to regularly remove the case. I also can't comment on drop protection. I read the instance of having an issue but that could certainly be an anomaly. It seems as if it would provide very good protection. Nice lips to protect the screen. Rubber bumpers in the corners, etc. I wasn't sure about the kickstand at first but it clicks / locks right into place and does not open unless you want it to open. I expect I'll be rocking this case for the long haul.
EDIT: Yes, it is more difficult using the heart rate sensor, but it is possible.

I got the Samsung protective cover - blue :). I love it and the form factor.

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Note-Protective-Cover/dp/B00NP5GQWI/ref=sr_1_19?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1416711862&sr=1-19&keywords=samsung+note+4+protective+case

I have a lot of QI chargers and wanted the device to support that. I purchased the Samsung note 4 wireless charging backplate and the Samsung protective cover wouldn't fit over it. This is so stupid. They should have it built in.

Anyways I ripped the QI charger out of the backplate and mounted it to the back of the note 4. I chopped up the standard case that came with the device to cover the top and bottom, and the case fits beautifully.

I'm super happy with this setup.

can't help you with the warranty but you could always buy some of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0

I used them on my note 4 and GS2 and they are great. very useful to have as a backup as well. They also sell a single battery for 19.99 as well, but i like the wall charger.

u/LaTuFu · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

In my opinion, the cases that provide the best compromise between protection and minimal bulk are:

Spigen Slim Armor

Verus Thor

Otterbox Commuter

UAG

These cases are pretty slim, but I don't know how much shock/drop protection they offer compared to the ones listed above:

Spigen Neo Hybrid

Verus Iron Shield This one is harder to find. Hands down the most beautiful case in the list. The TPU band is aluminum, and it gives it a really solid feel. The rubber case is well designed and has a very nice look to it. I am using one right now, but I think I might go back to my Otterbox or Slim Armor. If someone would like it, PM me maybe we can work out a deal.

I've used the Commuter series on all of my previous Galaxy devices, and they have always provided excellent drop protection. I've never suffered a cracked screen after a drop in 3 different devices using a Commuter. There have been more than one drop where I couldn't believe there was no damage to the phone.

The Slim Armor is very similar to the Commuters, the build quality isn't as "nice" imo, but for the price it is a really good option. I've never tried the UAG or the Thor. Not sure I like the look of the UAG, but I may try it out anyway just for review purposes. I do plan to pick up a Thor in the next couple of weeks if I move the Iron Shield along to someone else.

I go back and forth on the screen protectors. I've never had an issue with scratches on these screens, and this is my 4th galaxy device since 2010. I had a tempered glass on my S4, cracked them twice with just normal daily use, stopped using anything after removing the 2nd one. Put a screen protector on it for the last two months I used it. Gouged the screen protector dropping it out of a treestand once, but the screen was not damaged at all. I have been going without a screen protector on my Note 4 so far.

u/m_luna · 3 pointsr/galaxynote4

Have you tried any Spigen cases? I used them for my S5 and currently using it on my Note 4. I have dropped phones plenty of times, I still get that small heart attack, but the cases seem to protect my phone pretty well. Also they look better than the other "slim" cases on the market, but that's just my opinion.

I found this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MHBRL6G/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_-weBwbSWJ71J0 I haven't got it yet but it looks even better than Samsung's case so I can't wait. I'd also recommend this screen protector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RHOT4NQ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_bzeBwbTYN866T I haven't gotten this either but the reviews are the best out of all of them imo

u/I_Has_A_Bucket · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

I have the Samsung official Note 4 protective cover (blue). I love it, it protects it well, and looks good too. Pretty slim profile.

u/ajpri · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

This one is great. It doesn't cover the whole screen, but I like it! As my 1st Tempered Glass screen protector, I love it.

u/DeadPlasmaCell · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

I got a few of these back when I had my Note 4, awesome quality, pretty cheep and a ton of positive reviews.

Galaxy Note 4 Tempered Glass Screen Protector - JOTO Galaxy Note 4 0.33 mm Round

u/TeeDubb1 · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

I use this one. I have a normal/medium thickness case with a small credit card pocket stuck on the back. This dock holds it fine. They have 2 other versions on the same product page that will handle thicker phones that may work better for you.

Good luck!

u/djrbx · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

Every night. I honestly don't get why people are so hung up about SOT. As long as my phone lasts me all day with moderate to heavy use, I'll be happy. Replacement batteries are relatively cheap and even cheaper if you buy off branded. Also, by the time I actually do end up needing to replacing the battery, I'll be up for renewal getting whatever the latest phone is at the time. I rarely ever keep a phone for longer than 2 years so what's the point of trying to save the battery.

u/mixx2001 · 5 pointsr/galaxynote4

I had one on my N5, and not only did it fly off if dropped, but the edge on the top and bottom are sharp enough to cut you. Very uncomfortable.

A Coworker just got Spigen's "Tough Armor" case for his iPhone 6, and not only is it gorgeous, but it's not very bulky at all! Which makes me think Spigen's "Slim Armor" case may be perfect.

http://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Spigen%C2%AE-Layer-Protective-Samsung/dp/B00MAWQKIW/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1412159065&sr=8-2&keywords=Spigen+note+4+slim+armor

I had a Platinum brand case, with a kickstand just like that, for my iPhone 5, and it was a must have for watching videos, and was barely noticeable. I think this Spigen Slim Armor case is gonna be the one I'll try first.

u/ralgo · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I bought this one

but it looks like this

Its not very apparent when the screen is on though so i didn't really bother to look into changing it

Yesterday however the seller contacted me and asked if my protector fit right. He said they had erroneously sent out a few incorrect model protectors. I explained the issues and he will be sending out the correct one.

We'll see how well this one fits when it gets here

u/Yomat · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4
  1. Yes
  2. With a 3rd party receiver, yes. Example: Qi-infinity

  3. Samsung EVO or Pro
  4. I'm on Verizon, so I won't know until 2017 if I'm lucky.
u/extremely_witty · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Not to rain on your parade, but just giving another option. I bought this JOTO one for a few bucks less. Fits great, and Prime eligible!

u/koolaidman04 · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Ordered a Tough Armor and Strong Flex last night and they just shipped today.

I have never had tempered glass on any of my phones, but I decided to give it try after reading a lot about it here and on another Note 4 forum. When I tried to order the Spigen glass though, it was unavailable so I ordered one from Bear Motion. Their Note 3 glass got good enough reviews for me to give it a shot. I just hope it doesn't mess with the fingerprint scanner.

u/Solkre · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I have the ottorbox commuter, it works great. Saved me a few times already I'm sure. You need a bigger car mount to hold it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007FH716W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/ExtraGloves · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

The official Samsung case. It's one of the best cases I've ever owned. Pops on and off with ease. I switch batteries multiple Times a day. It's like 8 bucks. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Case, Protective Cover - Blue https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NP5GQWI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_MM6Gxb9RDFNVA

u/Powersw1tch · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Have you checked out the Spigen Tough Armor case? It's quite easy to put on and remove from the phone, and looks to be slimmer than the otterbox commuter.

This is my current case, I'm quite happy with it. I like the small kickstand on it, even though it doesn't lock in place when delpoyed.

u/AnarchoPunx · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

I've been using the spigen ultra hybrid. I was worried any case would be too much for such a big phone, but it is pleasantly comfortable.

u/EsquireSandwich · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I use the [iOttie One Touch 2] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JRGOKQ8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

the suction to the dash is great and it works very well, the only downside is that it does not fit the phone with my case on (otterbox commuter series). The otterbox is one of the bigger cases you if you have a slimer case it will probably be fine.

You may want to opt for the (XL version) [http://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Windshield-Dashboard-Holder-HLCRIO101/dp/B007FH716W/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1420830773&sr=1-1&keywords=iottie+note+4]

looks like it gives you an extra .1 inch.

u/ErisGrey · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I have this case for my Note 4. The kickstand snaps back in place really well! I bite my nails and find that I am unable to open the kickstand without the use of some additional tool. When it is open, it does provide a strong standing position for the Note 4. The rubber/silicone, whatever it is, can be used to control my touch stereo in the car. Just thought that part was kind of interesting. I use the note 4 as a dashcam and the case doesn't interfere with it's ability to be docked. I've dropped my phone numerous times already and so far it has been unscathed.

The Case I purchased

The car windshield holder.

u/TurboClag · 3 pointsr/galaxynote4

Case was delivered early by Amazon. Here is the link. Case feels very nice. Much better than the similar case for the Note 3.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MAWRQR6/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?ref_=cm_sw_r_awd_5vWnub082QGC7

u/choc-chipcookie · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Fantastic looking (and feeling!) case, but I wasn't too happy with the protection on the lip/sides, or how much of a pain in the ass it is to take off (feels like its scratching up my phone.

Ended up going with the Spigen Capsule. It (very) minimally increases width relative to the Ringke, but it covers all sides (and raises a lip/back camera to help against scratches), provides great grip, and I feel like it keeps the design of the note 4 in tact.

Just get some new batteries. Anker is the best. I bough this https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469194225&sr=8-1&keywords=note+4+anker and the label started coming off, I emailed them and they just mailed me a whole new kit no questions asked.

I also recommend force closing Snapchat when not using it for longer than an hour or so. It sometimes randomly starts using like 25-35% of the cpu just chilling in the background.

u/BNDenn · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Doh. Still waking up. Like I said, after dropping money on stuff I couldn't use last time, I'm going to be anal about double checking, sorry. This would be what you recommended?. It is compatible with the 910V it says so it looks like I should be good to go. If I could find them for $25 though it would be amazeballs.

u/Dove_of_Doom · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

I have the Verus Thor case. The contours make it easy to hold and comfortable in my hands. I haven't actually ever dropped my phone, but this case feels really sturdy. I like the style too. I don't consider it bulky, but some might. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MHBRL6G/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_.NZmxbMNPDT3X

u/IceMenthols · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I recently bought the Spigen Galaxy Note 4 Case Neo Hybrid Satin Silver. Overall its a nice case, sturdy, light, looks good, but I'm finding it a little too big for my liking, so I'm going to get the Samsung S-View case next and give that a whirl.

u/Vargasa871 · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

You will love this case like I have.

u/PolaresBears · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Yeah, that looks like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Spare Battery Charger with OEM Replacement Battery https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NQG2XNC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_flSZxb0PYMNWF

Although that's not exactly what I had in mind, I guess that case may work for my travel needs :)

u/bglaszcz · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

This it the case I have. I like it alot, seems like it'll protect it plenty, and doesn't add too much bulk.

u/readit_getit · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

wow I almost bought two of those.

I just looked at some of the reviews on amazon. Looks like a common issue.

u/nssone · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Apparently not. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_7MjoybF6M7HHE But it was out of stock before for me before then I saw that it was in stock again a month or so later and I ordered it. The best thing to do is watch the item. It's worth watching for it.

u/wc311 · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I actually do not have any experience with anker. The battery I just bought recently is this one
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Standard-Battery-3220mAh-Galaxy/dp/B00NT2X4XG
but I have only heard wonderful reviews for anker.

u/namain · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Anker sells 2 spare batteries and an external charger for cheap on amazon. It's a great piece of kit for this game: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=pe_386430_197793480_TE_dp_4

u/playbeasy · 2 pointsr/galaxynote4

I use an iOttie too and have had a couple different versions depending on my phone at the time. Currently I'm using this one. http://amzn.com/B007FH716W

The iOttie mounts are actually a little sticky on the suction cup. It's not a glue so there won't be any residue but once they're stuck it's not coming off easily. You can get it off though. It will also go right back on and have equal grip if you decide to move it. :)

I highly recommend it.

u/neva5eez · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I've tried 6 different cases, and the official samsung galaxy note 4 case is the best IMO, and I cannot believe how cheap it is going for right now!

u/CBreezy2010 · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I'm looking at this battery bundle from Anker ( I LOVE Anker anything): https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1465838440&sr=1-1&keywords=note+4+anker+battery

Will I be able to use the stock back plate? Its a little bent and distorded, but it still works.I know looking around ( searched on Amazon "Anker note 4 battery", i saw a lot of Anker's batteries come with another backplate

u/somethingotherthanb4 · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I don't know how it works yet since I just ordered it yesterday and haven't received it, but what from what I've seen on other websites this screen protector is flexible so you won't have the halo effect and it is glass so should be good to use with the stylus. It seems thin and not as hard as some other screen protectors but it should stop scratches on your main screen and is replaceable. I will try to remember to update after I get it and have used it for a couple days!

u/skippybosco · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Certainly sounds like a battery issue.

Can you boot to recovery or download mode or it still reboots in those modes?

Do you have an external battery charger you can try charging the battery with to see if that makes a difference?

You can get a couple of Anker batteries and an external charger for ~$30

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0

u/treytech · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

It was this one. I guess my Note 4 won't get here until Friday when Best Buy receives the pre-orders. I did go ahead and order two extra batteries and external charging enclosures with that 50% off promo code.

u/Inacoolminute · 5 pointsr/galaxynote4

Have you tried getting some replacement batteries? I had issues with battery life. I fell in love with these Anker batteries.

u/randomasdf97 · 1 pointr/galaxynote4
  1. Where can I get a custom back?
  2. How do I know if a case supports it? E.g., this, or this?
u/sleep0holic · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

You won't regret the transition! My mom was a die hard ios user due to its simplicity but the moment she began to use android she stuck due to the range of customizable actions. I heard that having a transfer rate of 48mbs is already enough but I ordered the 32gb version of this one ;)

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IVPU88U/ref=twister_B00IYOCBMO

I transfer lots of files since I usually end up with a custom rom and download movies and music on my phone. Having the ability to have 2 browsers open, one with youtube and the other with youtube downloader simultaneously really makes it a breeze downloading music haha.

u/l0ckd0wn · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

It sounds like the battery may have dead cells that are picked up as good even though they are not actually providing power. Like omnitoo said, I would try getting an extra battery and testing with that. They are $20 on Amazon right now, just ordered 2x myself after having my Sprint Note4 for about 18months now. This link is for the actual Samsung OEM battery in retail packaging, not a refurb or clone: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NT2X4XG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

u/Andre11x · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

I've been using this case for over a year with no issues. The part I like is the plastic cover with the kick stand adds another layer of protection but it is also easily removable if you need a smaller form factor.

u/S0UNDH0UND · 4 pointsr/galaxynote4

I have that case and the Spigen Tough Armor Case which is fantastic at protecting my phone. And the Kickstand is very sturdy for me.

they say as a disclaimer:Due to the rounded edges on phone and the limitation of Tempered Glass Material, the cover is designed to cover the flat area only. The curved edge area is NOT covered

i figure for 10 bucks id give it a shot, there were a ton of positive reviews

dont know how its gonna do in my UAG case though

u/fiestaoffire · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

This is the one I'm using.

Feels glasslike, colors still vivid and brightness not noticeably obscured, and is relatively cheap compared to other non-flexible glass screen protectors. I've not had any problems with it thus far.

I second the iOttie One Touch. I've been using this one since November and it's amazingly durable and simple to use. The extendable arm is an added benefit.

u/diggduke · 1 pointr/galaxynote4

Been using this one since the Note 2 came out, never had an issue with it also fits the Note 4 with a Spigen Tough Armor case.

If you are sure it's a genuine Samsung battery, the battery may not be your problem unless you also got a bad Samsung battery. I'm not sure you can get them in Australia, but here's the link on Amazon. Is your Snapchat updated?

I use this one.... https://www.amazon.com/iOttie-Holder-iPhone-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00JRGOKQ8/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1473866750&sr=8-4&keywords=phone+mount

Hasn't came off the dash once, and has never dropped the phone. I keep my Note 4 in an Otterbox, and it is big enough to hold it. Couldn't be happier with it.

What are you on about? It's very well-reviewed and has an average rating of 4.4/5. The official Samsung battery has an average 3.5.

Not sure why I'm defending Anker so vociferously, but I'm not sure I understand where you're coming from.

You can also get Anker battery charger and spare battery and rotate them. I stopped using my wall charger just because the Anker batteries were so convenient.

Sorry, I've only bought the key chain style because I wanted something durable and reusable. These NFC stickers get good reviews on Amazon so you might look at getting those.

got it yesterday. was using the spigen tough armor since day one.

it took over 5 minutes for me to properly fit it all together. not sure if im a dumbass but it just wasn't snapping in easily.

the kickstand is much sturdier than the spigen.

the case is bulkier, but understandably so since the spigen doesnt have a protective front. the ghostek's protective front creates a lip around the phone front so it is no longer flush. not sure if that'll be annoying yet.

the side buttons on the ghostek are way easier to push than the spigen. i had to press extremely hard on the volume rockers and power button to get it to turn on.

the material of the plastic on the ghostek feels cheaper than the spigen.

I bought the white one and the color scheme is a little odd. Almost like a reverse oreo cookie - http://www.amazon.com/Ghostek-Bullet-Samsung-Galaxy-Protector/dp/B00OQFJ43O/ref=sr_1_7?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1416904378&sr=1-7&keywords=Ghostek+Bullet&pebp=1416904386180

ill have to use it more to see if I like it more than the spigen. I'd say so far 4/5 *'s because it was only 8 bucks.

this is the spigen case I am comparing it to: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MAWQU14/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
