Evecase 5.6 x 5.6 x 3.5 inch Camera Bag.
Chose this after trying too long to find a 3DS bag that didn't have horrible straps. $16 with Prime
Anker USB 3.0 4* USB tap.
Obviously, you need to have more than 1 USB port to do much, like using a mouse with a usb drive.
$9 with Prime.
Cable Matters Mini HDMI male to HDMI Female cable 2 pack.
Minor shaving required. Not tested extensively.
$10 with Prime.
Lexar USB 3.0 Micro SD Card Reader
If you want to use a ferry card or temporarily pop your card of choice into a computer, one of these is incredibly helpful. Plus it's tiny. You can probably get one cheaper if you don't want the 32GB card included.
$33 with Prime.
Standard XBOne Controller.
Works without any need to mess with dongles on Windows 10. It'll even work with headphones/sets.
$35-$50ish, depending on color and luck.
Venom Xbox One Rechargeable Battery Twin Pack.
I don't recommend these in particular, but a rechargeable pack is a must if you don't want to guzzle batteries.
$17 with Prime.
Logitech Wireless Mouse M185.
Pretty reliable, but only has the standard 2 mouse buttons plus tilting and clicking mousewheel. Receiver stores inside nicely.
$13 with Prime.
Kid Icarus Folding 3DS Stand That I Had In A Box.
Needs a little rubber bumper to help secure the Win properly.
$10 with Prime.
Perrix Asymetrical Folding Keyboard.
This one might be tough to find, but it works amazingly. The weird fold system pushes the main hinge off to the side, so it is less likely to fold the moment you put it on your lap. It also completely hides the hinge when the keyboard is unfolded. A bit cramped, but the keys are properly clicky laptop keys.
For image and model reference
Anker PowerCore 26800 Portable Charger*
While looking for my power pack, I found this one. Seems to be a flat upgrade. 26800mAh with 3 4.8A output USB ports. Also has 2 micro usb inputs for double the charge speed?
$59.99 with Prime.
Other possible pack-ins.
Bluetooth Numpads.
If you're primarily going to be gaming, you might want to drop the full keyboard in favor of a bit of space plus one of these. Works nicely with a mouse if you rebind with HIDMacros. Also more tiny airport/college desk friendly. Example unit is $30
Similarly, you might want to try a half controller + mouse option using a device like the Nintendo Joy-Con's left unit. Drivers are still being worked on though, so only get this if you're up for beta troubles.
$50ish, but you can get lucky on eBay.
SanDisk Ultra Fit 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive.
The one in all the Win lists I've seen, but I figured I'd list it here for convenience.
$45 with Prime.
Batteries
All this stuff takes a total of 3 AAA (2 for the keyboard, 1 for the numpad) and 1 AA battery that will need replacing eventually. I hesitate to recommend rechargeable ones, as I have yet to find a micro charger for them.
Inateck USB 3.0 Ethernet + 3 USB 3.0 port adapter.
You might want to replace the 4 port one with one like this if you plan to do network maintenance, secure data transfer, or just plain download things quickly.
$20 with Prime.
PS4 Controller.
Some people prefer this to the XBOne one. It's lighter in the hand (and bag), comes with a built in rechargeable battery with absurd life, and has a touchpad with 4 physical buttons underneath. Can do some pretty crazy things with the touchpad via Steam's controller customization, but has weaker compatibility with non-Steam applications. Also works with PS4 Remote Play.
Worth noting that, unlike the ps3 controller, this can charge directly from any micro usb power supply. Headset support seems to require the official receiver dongle, sold separately.
Controller Alone: $40-60 Depending on color. Silver's cheapest.
Adapter Alone: $66
Controller + Adapter Bundle: $66
Budget 1 Handed Controller**
Hey, if you want to try 1/2 Controller + Mouse, why start off pricey?
$10
Phew, that's about all I have on hand.
It's a great machine. Only problem I've had is the forced updates from Microsoft that have kind of broken my automatic controller functionality in a lot of games. I've seen other issues, though they all seem to be repairable/reversible issues. This specific issue has made it difficult for some of my games to easily see there's a controller available.
I have a 128 GB Samsung Ultra Fit USB flash drive that sits in the back. It's very low key and not noticeable. It does make it difficult to move the screen back completely but the position it is in is just fine with me. There is also a common issue with the USB 3.0 port that makes it sometimes not readable but it just takes a little move and the system recognizes its in there. Just seems to be a cheaply made port, is all. It works most times and has never randomly disconnected on me. This just usually becomes a problem when I remove it and put it back in. Currently there doesn't seem to be anything this small to allow for portability and ease of putting in your pocket, etc. that's above 128 GB. I paid like $30 for it at a local store. That has all of my games on it with Skyrim being the only game I have installed on the internal memory.
In addition to that, I have a 64 GB Micro SD card that is in there and I've just started using it for anything extra I have. 256 GB Micro SD cards are pretty pricey at $150+ for a decent one that will work with your gaming needs.
If you truly stick to emulators, I think that 128 GB USB flash drive will be suffice for you for everything while helping you save money and allowing you time to save up for a 256 GB Micro SD card like I'm doing.
The GPD Win is pretty pricey on its own but you can get lucky if you don't mind getting one used. I got one in superb condition for $300 off eBay (the number 1 key doesn't work, but that's okay) as they are about $439 brand new starting and they take longer to ship because they come from China. I've also read some people having issues where customs opened their box thinking it was drugs. There are also people on this sub selling theirs, one guy today posted one asking $250 and saying it's brand new in the packaging. Doing that may help you save money to put towards an expensive, good SD card too.
Hope this helps
I have that exact same bag and, like NinjaFlee said, it's definitely capable of housing the WIN plus a few accessories.
However, since my collection is slowly expanding, I've outgrown that and have migrated to this bag. Has great space and amazing protection. Also, here's the post that I saw this bag listed on. Good reference if you're thinking about pursuing more stuff for the WIN later on.
I use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G1XH46M/
I played Dark Souls 2 for like 4 hours on a flight with it, and my WIN was still at about 80%. Heavily intensive games do still drain power on the charger, but I still could have gotten a whole lot of time out of it.
Battery is perfect (though kinda big).
The WIN does get pretty hot when plugged in to the charger + gaming, but I didn't have any problems :)
I've been looking for a good USB hub that won't have trouble hanging off the back of a Win 2. I have four of those 128GB ultra fit flash drives. I did buy one of these but it heated up almost inhumanly quickly, burning my fingers after about one minute of being plugged in, so I just threw it out. If anyone finds a good USB hub that can hold 4 drives and hang off the back of the Win without issue, let me know.
Lets add the first car charger to the list. PD 12v up to 3a by Nektek.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075WQQG7C/
Tested today. Is able to charge while playing Hand of Fate 2, but only gained about 4% in 40 minutes.
Set power settings to best performance, backlight at 50%, turned of sleep mode, and charged on the desktop for an hour and it charged about 23%
Did not test charging while in sleep or turned off, but it should charge pretty quickly.
I have this 128gb samsung 3.0
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-128GB-Flash-MUF-128BB-AM/dp/B017DH3O5A/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1505020844&sr=8-4&keywords=samsung+128gb
the curve of the stick fits PERFECTLY the GPD Win... just wish it would be black
here's a photo of my GPD Win with the samsung key
http://i.imgur.com/dguvhfb.jpg
OK, is this still the best ssd for it? Seems like the most highly recommended I've seen.
https://www.amazon.com/Transcend-512GB-MTS400-Solid-TS512GMTS400S/dp/B076X365T6
i hope so i just purchased this;
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075WQQG7C/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and even though it is on the supported list of car adapters it does not work for the win 2. Im returning it to amazon in 2 hours.
The Samsung Fit Drive doesn't get hot unless it's under heavy load, unlike the other options in the same form factor. Micro SD cards are another matter though. Like others have said, the one on the WIN reads slowly, and goes to sleep when it doesn't think it's being used, so you'll want to use a program that keeps it awake if you want to store games on it or something. It will decrease your card's lifetime a little though.

This is a great solution, especially because there are no tiny 256 GB USB drives yet, the only ones are pretty big. This way you can have 256GB in a small package.
That reader supports USB 3 so you'll be able to utilize the card's full speed (as opposed to the Win's internal reader).
I'm also looking to buy a GPD Win here soon, so I started a poll on dingoonity.
http://boards.dingoonity.org/gpd-windows-devices/best-most-reliable-place-to-purchase-a-gpd-win/
EvilDragon won hands down! Looks like they have some REALLY excellent customer service too. Heck, EvilDragon actually posted up in my thread!
Here's the link to their store
https://www.dragonbox.de/en/475-gpd-win-gpd-win-4260416650442.html
They're currently out of stock, but you can put your email address in to be notified if you want. :)
As for extra storage, from my research I've found that the Lexar S45 USB Drive offers the highest read speeds available. The only down side is it's annoying blue read/write light. Others that have one have simply painted over the light with black nail polish, though. :D
Lexar JumpDrive S45 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive - LJDS45-128ABNL (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012PKV7RC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_cS6oybPSBG90T
I picked up an ADATA 256 drive for like 85 bucks on amazon a few months ago and haven't had any problems with it. Its sold out now but if they come up again I would definitely recommend it.
https://www.amazon.com/ADATA-IM2S3334-Industrial-Grade-Internal-IM2S3334-256GD/dp/B074K273KV/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Well SanDisk recently released this $300 400GB micro SD card although I wouldn't recommend it unless you're going to use the Win all the time or unless you're rich because the price/gigabyte is so high
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-microSDXC-Adapter-SDSQUAR-400G-GN6MA/dp/B074RNRM2B/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1506273578&sr=8-1&keywords=400gb+micro+sd+card
https://www.amazon.com/Voberry%C2%AE-5Gbps-Super-Reader-Adapter/dp/B012D3A4FM/
You can get something like this and pair it with a 256GB microSD card. While it's not that low profile, it's still the closest thing to a "low-profile flash drive that's more than 128 GB". Has pretty good reviews too.

Can you fit the gpd win and a battery bank in the molle pouch you recommended? Something about this size? Anker PowerCore+ 26800 PD https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZ61PRW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ouVTAbVA0K8SN
I went with 128 GB Sandisk Card on amazon, and a really small 128 GB Samsung USB
What Mr.Kogashiwakai said about the case is very true. I got one for free with my Win, but it is so small. It fits all I need, but no more. Some of those DS cases have like 10 pockets so I'd check that out.
About 3-3 and a half hours, depending on the game and the screen brightness.
Get a 2.4A portable charger for long flights/commutes, it works surprisingly well, and even slowly charges while gaming.
I got this one, works really well:
https://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-Portable-22000mAh-Li-polymer-Smartphones/dp/B01G1XH46M/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1493100687&sr=8-3-fkmr0&keywords=ravpower+2200mah
I ordered an Adata 256GB from ebay (US seller).
Here's some on amazon though. This is the same model as what i ordered. It does have DRAM cache which was pretty important to me.
https://www.amazon.com/ADATA-IM2S3334-Industrial-Grade-Internal-IM2S3334-256GD/dp/B074K273KV
I don't own either but I did some searching back when I was considering getting one. Both models you listed seem to run pretty issue-free, and I know a lot of folks on this subreddit use the sandisk one.
The ones with heating (sometimes even leading to drive failure) issues were the older model of the sandisk.
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-Flash-Drive-SDCZ43-064G-GAM46/dp/B01BGTG2A0?th=1
Anker. Get the anker. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZ61PRW/
I use that model specifically myself - even though it does not have a 12V output specification, it charges my win 2 just fine, and I'm able to stay on 100% while playing nier automata during my commute.
I did a bit of research on this. The two main competitors for the low profile USB 3.0 usb sticks are the Lexar S45:
https://www.amazon.com/Lexar-JumpDrive-128GB-Flash-Drive/dp/B012PKV7RC
And the SanDisk Ultra Fit:
https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-SDCZ43-128G-GAM46-Newest-Version/dp/B01BGTG2A0/
They are similar in price (around 30 dollars). I went with the Lexar because it seemed to be slightly faster in head to head benchmarks and the profile of it is flat. The primary downside when I got it is that it has a VERY bright blue LED that flashes with activity. However, I simply put some electrical tape over it and it almost entirely blocks it.
For SDCards, it seems the fastest performers are the Samsung EVO Plus:
https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-mc128d-128gb-Uhs-i-Adapter/dp/B0118LR9Z8/
It has the fastest read speed at 80 MB/sec, which is still quite a bit slower than the USB which I usually benchmark at around 150 MB/Sec max, and the internal memory is faster than both, and much better read speed (so prioritize putting games etc that have longer loading times or require writing in the internal memory).
The Win2 is listed at $794 on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Handheld-Portable-Gameplayer-Notebook-Graphics/dp/B07CK7DRYS/
SSD is $220 on Amazon
https://www.amazon.com/Transcend-512GB-MTS400-Solid-TS512GMTS400S/dp/B076X365T6/
Plus time & software to image the original drive and transfer it properly to the new SSD
So (to me) it feels like $900 is fair but of course the ebay listing allows people to lob in any bid they want (within reason).
Never had an issue. I got a 128 SanDisk UltraFit (this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BGTG2A0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
I also disabled letting Windows put my USBs to sleep in Device Manager.
Hit Start
Type in Device Manager
Go to Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Right click USB Mass Storage Device
Properties
Power Management
Uncheck the box next to Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power
It's possible to clone your old ssd to the new one and extend the partition, but I have never done that so I can't recommend software to do it.
To do it you will need a usb to msata adapte, and a drive you can boot from another port (could be a normal flash drive with usb c adapter). I really like this adapter https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B077S6M3QL?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I purchased USB Drive, Micro SD, Keyboard, Mouse, USB 3.0 HUB, and Case to fit everything into.
There's a link to the Wiki in the sidebar. The Wiki has a USB-PD page that lists chargers and power banks. Personally, I've used this because I already had it and it works fine:

https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Charger-Delivery-PowerPort-MateBook/dp/B06Y427WT7/

If you need a power bank (battery) too, you can get them in a combo, something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071WNWRNC
So I actually got the screwdriver from this:
M2 2230 2242 to USB 3.0 M.2 NGFF SSD Enclosure B+M Key M.2 to USB 5Gbps External M2SSD Adapter support UASP for Laptop or Mac https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077S6M3QL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LstaCbCFV6FSZ
Which seems to not be for sale anymore. I'll do some research on my commute and see if I can figure out what it was. It was a Phillips head screwdriver about 2mm in diameter if I remember correctly.
Have you tried something like bondic? https://www.amazon.com/Bondic-Activated-Waterproof-Resistant-Adhesive/dp/B018IBEHQU/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=uv+light+glue&qid=1554418033&s=gateway&sr=8-4
The newer model doesn't have the heat issue, I've heard. It isn't made of metal like this one.

Hopefully prices will keep coming down on these. I've been considering this flash drive as well but reviews are kind of varied.
The only things I would recommend is this case to use when you need to store it and aren't carrying it around, this flashdrive, and a pair of bluetooth headphones. Anything else and it's no longer simply a portable gaming device that you can just take everywhere or slip in your pocket. If you're gonna buy all that extra stuff just get a regular laptop.
Whatever you do, don't get the Ultra Fit drive from SanDisk. I've got a 128GB model, and even on idle, the thing gets hot. Like, stupid hot.
I like my Samsung Fit, it's been reliable and fits well. When I tried this version of the Sandisk Ultrafit 128, I had trouble with it spontaneously unmounting itself. Possibly because it was physically running into the lid, or maybe I just received a bad drive. Maybe the newer plastic model is better though
U1 guarantees a minimum sequential write speed of 10 MB/s - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#Speed_class_rating
It may be faster than that, but it's probably not faster than 30 MB/s, because then they'd mark it U3
Update: here are the two reported write speeds I see in the reviews for the 400gb card:

Yup!! I have 2.
Update: also these work...

My recommendation is to skip the sd card and use one of the high capacity tiny usb drives. The sd card is very slow. I have the 200 gb one and I took it out because it was just so painfully slow.
I use this one https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-128GB-Flash-MUF-128BB-AM/dp/B017DH3O5A
The downside is having the little nub stick out the back, but it all fits in the zip up carrying case.
i managed to find this; i'm thinking this could work and be a way to avoid both those conditions where i can't later remove the hinge or can't reinsert the hinge. think it's worth a shot?
