Good luck!! I’m sure everything will go well, it’s a big build up with anxiety/nerves as you get closer, but there’s really nothing to worry about. The procedure and recovery aren’t nearly as bad as you think it will be.

In terms of tips, I’d say there’s no need to go crazy with things before the surgery, I’m pretty sure they prefer you taper down with the lifting/heavy exercise 2 weeks before. Also stop using any vitamins/supplements 2 weeks prior, and make sure they know of all meds you take.

The process is pretty standard, I’d say just make sure you get all the bloodwork done and paperwork/consents filled out more timely than I did (left myself rushing around a week before which didn’t help anxiety wise).

Definitely a few days before your date, make sure you have 3-5 compression shirts that are a size smaller than you normally wear. I’m an xl and bought 4 larges. You’ll wear these under your chest wrap/vest. The UA heatgear is working absolutely perfect so far so I definitely recommend these . Also stock up on a ton of Gatorade, the surgeon said it helps with recovery, and Tylenol extra strength. Stouffers mac & cheese, Tylenol and gatorade was my diet for day 0 & day 1.

Hey! If you're still seeing this (know it's been, well, a month) but this is what I use

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001DLEZNI

I chose small because I really wanted it to hold it down. I'm 18, 180 pounds, 6'2", so small worked perfect for me.
It feels very weird at first but now it feels like a second skin and I wouldn't go anywhere without it. It's sleek and hard to tell that it's there.

A couple things...it rides up a little and I found myself often pulling it back down, but it's really not bad when you get used to it. If
the very faint outlines DOES show, it looks like a tank top.

But it pushed my gynecomastia down so now it looks like I have pecs. I stand up straight and puff out my chest and have SO MUCH confidence. I had horrible posture before and would slouch to hide it.

These compression tank tops have changed my life. Seriously try it! I bought one in black and one in white to go with any kind of shirt.

I had surgery at ClinicForYou the week before last. Absolutely no complaints - flew in on Wednesday and was taken for a blood test, surgery on Thursday then flew back to the UK on Friday. My stitches come out on Friday, so I guess I'll have a better idea of the 'final product' at that point (regards scarring etc) but everything looks fine at the moment.

If you decide to go with them, then I would recommend going for the assistance package - you have a patient coordinator who helps things go smoothly (they take you to/from airport and apartment/clinic and can give recommendations for places to eat etc in the city). All the staff are really friendly, though some (unsurprisingly) don't speak very much English (which I mention only because it can be a little disorienting immediately after the surgery).

I stayed in the LeoApart apartments, which were nice and are very central in Wroclaw (about 5 mins from the main square/plaza) and maybe a 15 min drive from the clinic itself.

The only thing I would say is that the compression vest they give you is quite bulky (it also wasn't very comfortable but I only wore it immediately after the surgery so that probably contributed). I bought a couple of these (so I could wear one while sleeping and another to work) and they are much more comfortable and seem to do the job. Obviously your mileage may vary depending on build etc.

Read this article. Changes you are working upon will be permanent.
https://wiki.bme.com/index.php?title=Nipple_Stretching

Supple Nips
https://www.amazon.com/Supple-Nips-physical-sensual-enhancement/dp/B01DMRZOEO/ref=sr_1_1_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1493433138&sr=1-1&keywords=Supple%2Bnips&th=1
worked for me with results beginning in 30 days and even better by day 45.
Water blisters are common at first. Nipples build up tissue not unlike a callous the same as happens during nursing. You wear tolerance may at first be 15 to 20 minutes, stop when things get purple. Do not over-extend when pain and discoloration develop - tissue necrosis is the last thing you want. Over time suction can be prolonged. I can now go 8 hours without discomfort after 60 days.

In addition I use silicone bands. At first these on Amazon.

Later I discovered clear silicone bands which work better for a longer wear tolerance.
8mm and 10 mm I would recommend over the above silicone bands product.

You have enough time to make a change.

I've always liked the spanx shirts. There's a size chart on amazon, but order a size smaller than that. Don't worry if it's difficult to put on at first, it will stretch after you wear it a while.

I just had the surgery earlier this week and my dr recommended getting an under armour compression shirt to wear after the surgery (also getting a size smaller than what they recommend on the size chart). It doesn't do nearly as good a job compressing as the spanx.

Yes! I’ll find out about the massaging when I go for my first visit in exactly a week.

I plan on buying something like this https://www.amazon.com/Spring-Thing-Hand-Held-Massage/dp/B0195SRYUG/ref=mp_s_a_1_27?keywords=chest+massage+deep+tissue&qid=1555110763&s=gateway&sr=8-27 or might use a lacrosse ball against a wall.

I bought this one and really liked it

Underworks Mens Gynecomastia Chest Binder Vest Large White

Yup, went home in what the Dr called a "post operative compression garment". They told me to go out and buy a second garment as I'm going to end up obviously needing to wash at some point.

They recommended that I grab a spanx brand compression garment that matched my current shirt size. I grabbed this one off of Amazon. Can't vouch for it just yet though as it hasn't arrived.

On my phone so sorry for any mistakes.

I was 19 at the time. I hid it mainly by wearing these compression tank tops

https://www.amazon.com/Underworks-Mens-Microfiber-Performance-Compression/dp/B00BF2HJ4C

And by wearing baggy shirts and sweaters of course. Or just not leaving the house.

Here’s the link to the one I got:

For this one, order your normal shirt size.

For this one, order one size up from normal. They are very tight and difficult to put on.

u/davidw1229 · 1 pointr/gynecomastia

Compression shirts and tights will stipulated the blood flow. and it is uncomfortable as you can feel the pressure. that is how it works. you can try to running shirts instead.

I think your real problem is that you have too many Xenoestrogens in your system. This is no fault of your own. It's in the milk, meat and other foods. They pump this into the feed and in some cases into the animals to make them fat. Xenoestrogens are also found in some plastics such as water bottles and 'leak' when heated. Some bodies can push these xenoestrogens out of their system, while others such as mine cannot. I've been taking this to get the xenoestrogens out of my system and to help combat my gynocomastia. I talked to my doctor, he said it will take atleast 90 days to even seen the smallest results, and change will be very gradual. I talked to him about surgery too, he said surgery isn't really solving the problem, it's just attempting to make the body look like its normal.
