>>What blows my mind is that 2liter soda bottle is sometimes 3 liters and sometimes 1.5 liters all for the same price.

>Arguments are easier when you just lie!

Yep, I'm a liar. Coca-Cola Sprite 1.5L ~ 8 this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007OQDGJU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5b3iDbA8VEDB7

When these are sitting on the shelves they are very close in size to the 2 litter bottles. They're the same hight and near the same diameter which is difficult to tell especially when they're the same price. There are also 3L bottles sold as 2L +1 free liter. Usually these are a store brand. Now correct me if I'm wrong since you like to call me a liar but a 3000ml labeled on the side in fine print is not 2L even though they specifically mark it as 2L.

Sorry you think I'm a liar even though I'm not. They do it with all kinds of products and it's not even reserved to fool Americans ion metric items. They do it with ice cream sold by the gallon. A non metric unit. They cut out a pint, drop the gallon or half gallon large print put it in the same diameter box, a tiny bit shorter and charge the same price. (Or they whip more air in.)

You still don't even know why you and the rest of the world (btw America does use it) use the metric system. If you do know you like to keep it to yourself while purposefully showing how it's just as arbitrary as any other system. If you don't know then saying it's better is pointless. I'm telling you it's better, but you need to know why before you look like a moron by saying it's better because more people use it than any other. That really is the worst reason.

Now I have to tell you why it's better. The metric system is derived from a testable unit which hasn't been updated since the Treaty of the Meter was signed. That metric is based on the Egyptian base 12 system (some say it is a base 60 system but thats arguable) then arbitrarily reduced to base10. A meter is supposed to be exactly .0000015 seconds of arc of the earth. The measure of a meter is one ten-millionth of the distance between the equator and the North Pole or 90 seconds of arc. The arbitrary part is the measuring abilities of the time now seemingly locked in because of a peice of paper a bunch of people signed. The meter is testable outside the meter standard (manufactured over 100 years ago) and that means governments. The metric system is in the hands of the people that's why it's better.

I got this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00N1BRWLA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share but I actually use the non precise end to greater effect. I had about 4 masterful casts prior to purchase, now I'm up to around 50
