It's can be a pain to buy hot sauce online when you have to deal with shipping costs and higher prices on some sites.
I mainly order from heathotsauce. They have so many sauces to choose from and the $5.99 flat rate shipping is great. Always very helpful to answer questions and recommend sauces as well. I really like them as a company.
Otherwise, I try to keep an eye out for good deals when I can find them.
19.6oz Yellowbird Habanero is now on amazon for $7.99 which is a great price. They also have Dirty Dick's. They had 2-packs of 10oz Marie Sharp Habanero at a good price, but I just noticed it went up by like $5. However the [Fiery Hot Habanero 2-pack](https://www.amazon.com/Marie-Sharps-Fiery-Sauce-Pack/dp/B00FZ6GO04/ Fiery Hot Habanero) is now even cheaper. Prices can fluctuate on there so I check them out every so often. If you order enough to hit the $25 free shipping mark it's definitely worth it.
Ebay can also be a good place to look. I recently bought more Scorpion Gourmet for $7 shipped per bottle, which is a solid price when you think about shipping. You can get 3 bottles of Gringo Bandito for $14 shipped. That's pretty much close to retail, and it's only place where I can get the hotter black label version, which aren't in the stores near me.
>it was uncomfortable, but it was also exhilarating. There was a little adrenaline boost. I felt high, and my consciousness was affected in a weird yet exciting way.
welcome to the club, friend.
a couple recommendations based on personal experience.
Ghost pepper: 1 of them INSTANTLY can be recommended. ADOBOLOCO HAMAJANG is INSANELY delicious. if there is a cost plus world market near you, they probably have it. if you are lucky, they are in the clearance section. manageable heat. EXCELLENT flavor. its more of a pepper water than your traditional hot sauce but w/e.
habanero: secret aardvark habanero hot sauce is by far my favorite habanero sauce. i would avoid "DA BOMB" like the plague. literally no flavor at all, and it just feels like you are stabbing your tongue with a hot knife.
Trinidad scorpion: personally, i cheated with this one. i am PROBABLY the only person out there with an actual BOTTLE of the Buffalo Wild Wings "Scorpion Rum" hot sauce. scorpion peppers mixed with meyers dark rum makes for a SERIOUSLY delicious sauce. shame it as a limited time only deal...
i actually havent had a sauce with carolina reapers in it, so i cant recommend anything. but if you stay here long enough, you wont just try one or 2 of them, you will probably find a GOOD one.
Took me a while to find something to pair with it, but High River Sauces 'Rogue' definitely has a unique taste. It's formulated with Maruga Scorpion peppers using a Blood Orange base for the sauce.
I've found that it pairs surprisingly well on grilled and fried fish, along with pizza and chili. It takes a while to really get the flavor, but once you do it's awesome.
Wow it's going to be tough to have a less spicy one without a significant decrease in spiciness but secret aardvark tastes so fucking good and is definitely less hot than those.
Whoever downvoted this had better tried this sauce before bc it's fucking amazing.
i think you would like secret aardvark habanero or the yellowbird habanero
i def love the hot ones sauce (and their youtube series), bit pricey but worth it
also check out adoboloco, you can get a pack of 3 with free shipping for $30 until november 4th.
Marie Sharp's Beware Comatose Hot Sauce. It's the best tasting, most flavorful truly HOT sauce I have ever tasted. I highly recommend it.
Secret Aardvark Habanero Hot Sauce. Arguably the most delicious tasting hot sauce, and served on the table at every restaurant in Portland. Perfect balance of heat and flavor. It's legit. I've had a bottle in my fridge since it hit the market. It's good on everything and quite infamous in the Northwest. It's a staple in many homes out here.
Kinda depends on what "cheap" means to you. For starters, Valentina (my fav grocery store brand!) makes a black label that is hotter than the yellow (should be about the same price).
Frank's Red Hot is a fairly ubiquitous sauce that is pretty tasty and a staple around our house (especially for buffalo sauce).
I don't see Tabasco on your shelf, it was my first hot sauce and will always have a place.
A bit more expensive ($8) but a dang delicious sauce is Dirty Dick's.
I just bought Rogue Moruga Blood Orange Scorpion Pepper Sauce based on a recommendation I saw on here. I can't get enough of it. Strong kick with a nice sweet citric base—if you're into that.
Most stores like Walmart/target, have normal sized Tabasco bottles. You should be able to find on amazon full size bottles of Tabasco that are giant here same day delivery lol. , interestingly enough, the tiny bottles of Tabasco are part of the Tabasco culture. Just recently read about this.
I agree with this 99% of the time, but Aardvark goes great on both eggs and fish tacos. Out of the hundreds of hot sauces I've tried, aardvark is by far the most applicable to any situation. https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Aardvark-Habanero-Sauce/dp/B00AIR3Q38
One of my favorite vinegary sauces is Adoboloco's Hawaiian flavor. It's kind of pricy on its own, so it makes the most sense to get a Build-Your-Own 3 pack to cut the per-bottle price.
My other go-to options for flavorful hot sauces are Lucky Dog's Black Label, Yellowbird's Habanero flavor, or my Habanero & Carrot.
Hope this helps!
(I tried to reply to your reply, but you erased it)
He's requesting Amazon links only to exceptionally hot sauces with good taste, so I do deserve the downvote.
The Rapture by Torchbearer on Amazon.
Don't look for the sauce with the most heat. Find one with the flavor that you like the most, you can always add heat.
For my taste, this is the best out there for me - https://www.amazon.com/El-Yucateco-XXXtra-Kutbil-ik-Habanero/dp/B001EOMQ9E
Solid list! One that I really enjoyed, that also shot up to the top of my list to cover everything with, is Dirty Dick's Hot Sauce
I really enjoy the pain is good brand. my fav is Louisiana style.

We seem to have similar taste, this looks a lot like my collection.
Frank's and El Yucateco would fit right in.
This stuff is really good and I can only find it on amazon.

I'm a huge fan of Pirate's Lantern. It gets put on most things I eat. Full disclosure - while it's incredibly tasty, it doesn't have a ton of heat
I tried the original Chile Habanero flavor. I feel like I may have also tried the green one and didn't like the taste of that either.
https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Aardvark-Habanero-Sauce/dp/B00AIR3Q38?th=1
secret aardvark is so good, hands down my all time favorite hot sauce. If youre looking for someting really burns try Trader Joe's habenro hot sauce, personally it's too spicy for me.
Another favorite is Yuctan habenro pepper sauce. Is phenomenal on tacos.
https://www.amazon.com/Yucatan-Sunshine-Habanero-Pepper-Sauce/dp/B0005ZYSI0?th=1
lastly salse picante de chile habenro is good but it always makes me have weird poops so i stay away
Secret Aardvark and Pepper's peach and vidalia onion hot sauce. I also enjoy Redhawk Pepper's habenero honey mustard.
It's this one: https://www.amazon.com/El-Yucateco-XXXtra-Kutbil-ik-Habanero/dp/B001EOMQ9E
So good.
Bravado Black Garlic & Carolina Reaper is my favorite
Pirate's lantern pepper sauce - good mustard flavor, i put it on ham all the time.
https://www.amazon.com/Pirates-Lantern-Pepper-Sauce/dp/B00ZPR4P1I
El Yucateco XXXtra Hot Kutbil-ik Mayan Style Habanero Hot Sauce - 4 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001EOMQ9E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LhNTDbNBN9VX0
There you go brother. It is good.
It’s more of a hot sauce that’s black pepper/bbq based ... Pain is Good. Probably prohibitively expensive if you plan on treating it like a bbq sauce rather than a hot sauce.
Incorrect. Blair's 16m reserve is capsaicin crystals, not a sauce.
16M SHU is pure capsaicin, (see Pure Evil). When you start blending stuff into the sauce it mathematically lowers the cap level as it becomes diluted.
The cost alone for that bottle, if you can find it would be treated more like a collectible and not eaten, as well as you would have about 15 minutes or more of straight vomiting and stomach cramps... and that's not even in your intestines yet.
Do tomatoes have capsaicin? No, so when you add tomatoes to pure cap, you lower the level.
Source: I have a hot sauce company and make hot sauces for a living.
Your body would also treat pure cap like any other foreign chemical being added directly to your stomach. You wouldn't eat it like you would normally use a hot sauce.
Including the XXXtra hot Yucateco? If you've not had that one yet, it's a step up in heat from the others and definitely tasty.
Some comparably tasty and easily acquired habanero sauces: Yellowbird, Secret Aardvark, Queen Majesty.
Next beyond habs you're going to start looking for sauces with ghost pepper. Nothing specific comes to mind off the top of my head, I have a random assortment of a bunch at home, but Yellowbird makes one in a larger bottle.
Yellowbird is your new friend. It's a sriracha style sauce, but made with habaneros rather than red jalapenos.
My top recommendation:
Hot Sauce!: Techniques for Making Signature Hot Sauces, with 32 Recipes to Get You Started; Includes 60 Recipes for Using Your Hot Sauces https://www.amazon.com/dp/160342816X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_LzsCDbMXBTBA0
Tabasco is hotter. And it's available by the gallon for $40.95gal. They also have Tabasco Habanero in gallon jugs for $46.75gal. Tapatio has a good flavor, but as far as heat goes, it isn't very hot at all.
Oh I meant in restaurants.
For home solutions, this is the way to go
Secret Aardvark you can buy in jugs from Amazon.
Secret Aardvark Habanero Hot Sauce (Half Gallon)

https://www.amazon.com/El-Yucateco-XXXtra-Kutbil-ik-Habanero/dp/B001EOMQ9E/ref=sr_1_1
Don't buy it from amazon though, any half-assed Mexican grocery should have it for half that price
Kilauea Fire is my favorite.
https://www.kilaueafire.com/
Also, Pepper's Georgia Peach and Vidalia Onion Hot Sauce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00287DCSK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_rhFDCbR65E310
Tropical Pepper co's ghost pepper hot sauce is one of my favorites. I'm not sure if it hits their claimed 500,000 scoville units mark, but it is pretty damn hot. The naturally fruity flavor of the ghost pepper really comes through. Ingredients are: Naga Jolokia Peppers, water, salt, acetic acid, garlic pulp, xanthan gum. I really can't get enough of it. Also a heads up if you wanna try it, you might want to try looking at a local carribean of some other type of ethnic market. One grocery store near me sells them for $2 and change compared to $9 that I linked on Amazon.
there was a time when secret aardvark wasn't that easy to get. of course you can order it on amazon now.

this good?
Ive actually tried that one before, almost similar to
https://www.amazon.com/Marie-Sharps-Beware-Comatose-Sauce/dp/B005HALHPU , highly suggest it.
Don't believe the "comatose warning", it's not very hot compared to others. It's just a habanero carrot based sauce

How about these non-extract capsaicin drops. It's not extract, and advertises "Add to any food that needs heat without changing the flavor."
I think he means this one.
This one!
How about Tropical Pepper Ghost Pepper Sauce?
https://www.amazon.com/Tropical-Pepper-Company-Ghost-Jolokia/dp/B0070XYM1I
Torchbearer's The Rapture claims to be the hottest no-extract sauce. It was the first sauce I tried at an expo a few years ago and it completely ruined the event for me, i couldn't taste anything after it because the heat would just not fade.
