If you like green sauces the Bronx Greenmarket sauce and Marie Sharp's Green Habanero are great options.

Any of the yellowbird condiments are also good starting points and they come in variety/sample packs, though you'll pay a premium for the sample sizes. They have a 3 pack of the 19oz bottles for about the same price as the 5 pack of tiny bottles but you get to try 2 less flavors. Cholula also makes some very good flavors, their Chili Garlic is among the best for less heat inclined people and you can also find it in most grocery stores.

Most of the non-green sauces that I use regularly are pretty spicy, I'm familiar with more mild green sauces because those are my wife's preference.

Also Butterfly Bakery of Vermont's hot sauces are on amazon, though they're cheaper on their actual website

Just wanted to point out that they have tiny and small trial packs of 5 sauces on Amazon for those curious to try their product out. I picked up the smallest 5x2.2 oz pack for $25, though for an extra $10 you can get the 9.8 oz 5 pack.

I like their version of sriracha probably about as much as the regular sriracha. They're all pretty good imo though.

Marie Sharp's Beware Comatose Hot Sauce. It's the best tasting, most flavorful truly HOT sauce I have ever tasted. I highly recommend it.

There's your perfect kit! Haha Hot honey is amazing with any fried food. Los Calientes works with a broad base of foods, torchbearer has Carolina Reaper, the hottest pepper in the world, but it's also tasty and good on pizza.

Grey Poupon. Far right bottom. /s/ Actually like the Tabasco products because of the vinegar tang. But this is just grocery store selection and there is so much more out there. My last purchase was Elijah's Xtreme Carolina Reaper with sweet black cherries and more. It is fantastic.

I find the green goes well on Quesadillas and generic tortilla/meat/cheese combinations and I actually like it particularly for that. But I agree with you that it does not go well with eggs and many other things. Echoing /u/sglville, the XXXtra hot has broader appeal and is quite good.
The Yucateco line (and XXX , green in particular) used to be my go-to sauces, but these days I've been making my own as well as getting into other makers including these:

The best standard vinegary hot sauces from Mexico, imo: Tapatio and Valentina. Try them if you get a chance. They're nothing like Tabasco (which I hate, and it's from Louisiana, US).

As for my favorite Mexican hot sauces overall, you can't go wrong with El Yucateco. They have numerous varieties, and you can't go wrong picking this up: https://www.amazon.com/El-Yucateco-Habanero-Sauces-Items/dp/B0000GHNUE/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1539815317&sr=8-2&keywords=el+yucateco

Their standard red sauce is average, but the green, Caribbean, and "Kutbil-ik de" (I think that's what it's called) are fantastic.

Most stores like Walmart/target, have normal sized Tabasco bottles. You should be able to find on amazon full size bottles of Tabasco that are giant here same day delivery lol. , interestingly enough, the tiny bottles of Tabasco are part of the Tabasco culture. Just recently read about this.

This book is used to help encourage people to get treatment for their mental health issues. Get the audiobook, it's only about 4 hours. It could potentially the thing that drives you to a therapist/psychiatrist. Depression is very real and if left untreated can be fatal. Please sit and listen to the audiobook. It's on audible but you can probably torrent it. Good luck.

(I tried to reply to your reply, but you erased it)

He's requesting Amazon links only to exceptionally hot sauces with good taste, so I do deserve the downvote.

The Rapture by Torchbearer on Amazon.

Dude, try Bravado's other stuff. The blueberry is the worst sauce I've had from them.

[This is quite sweat, but amazing on ice cream] (https://www.amazon.com/Elijahs-Xtreme-Carolina-Cherries-Cranberries/dp/B01JGRUB88)

u/SlickStretch · 1 pointr/hotsauce

We seem to have similar taste, this looks a lot like my collection.

Frank's and El Yucateco would fit right in.

u/hailscata · 5 pointsr/hotsauce

I recently found a sauce that is a medium heat level , that complements everything that i put it on. Its called aji sobremesa hot sauce. It's made with yellow Peruvian aji peppers and its soooo good. Found it on amazon. Here is the link:

I tried the original Chile Habanero flavor. I feel like I may have also tried the green one and didn't like the taste of that either.

u/kalitarios · 3 pointsr/hotsauce

Incorrect. Blair's 16m reserve is capsaicin crystals, not a sauce.

16M SHU is pure capsaicin, (see Pure Evil). When you start blending stuff into the sauce it mathematically lowers the cap level as it becomes diluted.

The cost alone for that bottle, if you can find it would be treated more like a collectible and not eaten, as well as you would have about 15 minutes or more of straight vomiting and stomach cramps... and that's not even in your intestines yet.

Do tomatoes have capsaicin? No, so when you add tomatoes to pure cap, you lower the level.

Source: I have a hot sauce company and make hot sauces for a living.

Your body would also treat pure cap like any other foreign chemical being added directly to your stomach. You wouldn't eat it like you would normally use a hot sauce.

Tabasco is hotter. And it's available by the gallon for $40.95gal. They also have Tabasco Habanero in gallon jugs for $46.75gal. Tapatio has a good flavor, but as far as heat goes, it isn't very hot at all.

u/Baraka_Flocka_Flame · 3 pointsr/hotsauce

Tropical Pepper co's ghost pepper hot sauce is one of my favorites. I'm not sure if it hits their claimed 500,000 scoville units mark, but it is pretty damn hot. The naturally fruity flavor of the ghost pepper really comes through. Ingredients are: Naga Jolokia Peppers, water, salt, acetic acid, garlic pulp, xanthan gum. I really can't get enough of it. Also a heads up if you wanna try it, you might want to try looking at a local carribean of some other type of ethnic market. One grocery store near me sells them for $2 and change compared to $9 that I linked on Amazon.

u/Egon_Loeser · 3 pointsr/hotsauce

The chili lime spice is basically Tajin, which is what all the fruit carts in LA use. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000GL6RK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_N7AACbMQ1H2DN

u/geep4sale · 0 pointsr/hotsauce

This is what I believe to be the hottest product that refers to itself as an actual sauce rather than an extract or ect. The Source Hot Sauce, 7.1 Million Scoville Units https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001BIXJG2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_x0lmDbJJ04GKR

u/PaintMyBagel · 3 pointsr/hotsauce

Ive actually tried that one before, almost similar to
https://www.amazon.com/Marie-Sharps-Beware-Comatose-Sauce/dp/B005HALHPU , highly suggest it.

Don't believe the "comatose warning", it's not very hot compared to others. It's just a habanero carrot based sauce

u/muhaski · 1 pointr/hotsauce

How about these non-extract capsaicin drops. It's not extract, and advertises "Add to any food that needs heat without changing the flavor."

u/nycemt83 · 1 pointr/hotsauce

Torchbearer's The Rapture claims to be the hottest no-extract sauce. It was the first sauce I tried at an expo a few years ago and it completely ruined the event for me, i couldn't taste anything after it because the heat would just not fade.
