Just a few weeks ago I modded my BW iPod 4th Gen. I used this SD to CF adapter, and this CF to IDE adapter. Sadly, it looks like it's out of stock. The one that the other person linked looks good. Always read the reviews.

I also recommend checking out this thread over at MacRumors. It has a lot of invaluable information about this mod. OP did it with a photo, but many others have done it with BW 4th gens, and there are even a few third gens. Reading through it gives you an idea of the issues other people have run into and how to fix them. Also a good place to go if you run into issues.

Best of luck to you! Let me know if you have any questions.

These will fit everything that I’ve got excepted the 3rd gen shuffle. The 1st gen shuffle doesn’t fit “into the slot” but balance in the supports; I use double sided tape on the back for security.

These are only for the 3rd gen shuffle.

These are for the big dogs.😊

CF card here and battery here. A couple things worth noting about the battery are that the website says it is 650mah, but the one I received says 700mah. Also, the battery is ever so slightly thicker than the original, so I had to remove the rubber boot from the CF card to make it fit, and even after that it's a tight fit. That being said, the results are totally worth it!

I used this — like $7, seems to be working fine:

Insten Li-Ion Replacement Battery Compatible With Apple iPod Video 5th Generation 60G / 80G https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001A4Q8JM?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Man, I love how simple and elegant this thing is. Amazing.

I know this is completely different from the sleeve you are using, but I have had a silicone case on my Classic for over 4 years. It keeps the iPod just like new. I love mine. LINK

I have this...

I'm not in love with it, but the best I was able to find at the time.

There are tons of cables that do exactly what you're wanting. I use this one in my truck and it works perfectly. If you want, you can add a 30-pin to lightning adapter and use it for newer iPods and iPhones, too. If you want RCA instead of 3.5mm, a Google search for "30-pin to stereo RCA USB" will bring up lots more options.

this works pretty well.

The microdrive can be replaced with a CF card (or SD to CF adapter). Just use some foam padding, like these mounting squares, to ensure it’s not moving around in there.

It can charge over USB. It’s actually the first iPod model that can charge over USB.

The original iPod uses a FireWire 400 cable. It's highly unlikely you got one of those, but if you did: good job.

Assuming you mean iPod Classics or older touch models, you just need an Apple 30-pin dock connector.

[7th gen iPod Nano](https://i.ebayimg.com/00/$(KGrHqZ,!j!FBt9yFqU9BQh,vUd0sw~~_35.JPG?set_id=89040003C1)s and 5th and 6th gen iPod Touches use the same lightning connector that the iPhones do.

Side note: Apple products are typically stylized as camel case with the i lower case and the name upper case: iPod, iPhone, iMac etc.

It's from the grounding. Something like this in line from your iPod to headphones should get rid of that.

Not a single issue, no static at all. I'm in PA and use station 95.1 if you google stations for FM transmitters in (your state here) it will give you a list of channels to use. This transmitter also has an aux input as well just in case you don't have a 30pin dock connector ipod.

fire wire cable

The charger you might have to find on eBay. Also if you don’t have a fire wire port on your computer there’s pretty much no point in even trying to get this going.

Ah I gotcha now, it’s one of these?

I’m not sure it’s something we’re able to help with as it’s not an iPod. My guess is the electrics in the iDog are screwed but I’ve never heard of one before so I’ve no idea
