Ignore price and look a quantity and quality of reviews. This pad for example would be great. I have friends that use it and they don't really have any complaints. It's important to keep in mind that cooling pads aren't ever ever perfect, and if you feel like your laptop is getting too hot, close your application and give it a bit of a rest, maybe reduce settings for a while. I don't know what brand or model your laptop is, but some laptops run hotter than others. I hope it works out for you, a nice gaming laptop can be a great thing to have.
An AMD Radeon 7970.
Here's my full spec list if that matters.

Just get a SSD. Currently prices are reduced by 50% on amazon.
I see. Some other options would be buying the CD version on amazon which includes the mp3 files (or just buy the mp3 version) which you can listen to with a local player on your pc.
Another option would be buying the KF2 deluxe edition upgrade on Steam which includes the soundtrack files to play locally as well. I know that version includes the uncompressed FLAC files (CD quality).

You could also buy the Killing Floor 1 soundtrack somewhere and add that to your playlist for a bit more variety in the same tone.

Problem solved
> Seriously I just want a fucking keyboard how is it that hard to find a mechanical keyboard that isn't $150
Easy. Heres an example.
> and covered in awful LEDs.
They don't really matter since you can turn them all off.
wouldn't be hard to bullshit into existence, either. seek thermal made a smartphone infrared camera attachment that is, relative to most other thermal imagers, dirt cheap. wouldn't be hard to mount that onto goggles, get some redneck thermal imaging headsets going.
