Ooh, that sounds nice! Love a good deal. You should DEFINITELY get one of those lash books. I got one with a clear window from Morphe on sale and I also have this one which is filled with my ardell wispies!

I do like the book I linked, it’s big, has lots of room, and a gorgeous display piece but it’s not well made. It’s like a flimsy binder with a lash tray glued inside that I sometimes have to repress. So while I don’t think it’s worth $20 (I thought it would be a heavier, sturdy material, but lashes are lightweight so it makes sense that it wasn’t necessary to be heavy duty) it definitely gets the job done while looking glam.

The Lilly Lashes promise “up to 25 uses” and “up to 10 uses with proper care” for the 3D Mink and Synthetic lashes respectively. Idk how many times Ardell promises their wispies for but I’ve used the same pair like 5/6 times easy with thorough cleaning of the flimsy band (which I actually really like) if I don’t straight pluck them off my eyes at the end of the day. So for these with a more sturdy band I wonder if I’ll be able to double the lash life.

That being said while I did love the Huda Lashes I had a hard time cleaning them without ruining them. Then again they were my first pair of lashes so maybe I can clean better without destroying now.

My brushes are nothing to write home about, I found them on amazon. The angled brush in this set is what I use for my first few applications. I get just a little of the product on the brush then tap off the excess. Then I begin very gently applying it in the hollow just under my cheekbone - I follow that line as closely as I can and gently blend the product until I can barely see that fist layer. I then do this again- get a little bit of product, tap it off, gently apply and blend with a light hand until I can see a subtle increase in the colour. usually ill stop there after two layers but I will keep going with a few more if im going out at night. After applying the product using the first angled brush I will then use brush number 3 from this set to gently blend a little more and this seems to help it blend into the skin in a way that looks very natural.

I hope that helps :)

I will add that theres a definite learning curve with this stuff, like for most Kevyn Aucoin products. But the key seems to be a gentle hand while applying and building up to colour you want. its so worth it when you do figure it out because it blends into the skin like nothing else- its a very natural looking product!

this one on amazon from adept cosmetics, not as pretty as my book of shadows but its HUGE and I love the plastic divider!

They're alright. They smell really good. They don't last all day but are comfortable and when they do fade it isn't like a gross kind of flaking off, just the pigment fades. The applicator is kind of weird to me, it's just a flat doe foot like this. The shades I have aren't shades I use super often so I haven't used them extensively but they are good enough that I'll go out and buy a shade I like to test more

I considered actually showing the bag too--I kept the Lorac palette out of it, but I use this for all of the makeup minus the palette and a small pencil bag similar to this for the brushes. So you see, I'm not so organized actually. I usually pull out stuff and spread it on a flat surface (table, sink, whatever) to find what I want. I think the palette could fit and obviously I could have removed some lip products. The pencil case is a great way to protect brushes.

My ultimate goal is to have a minimalist makeup routine I could fit into the pencil case only but that is a hell of a pipe dream, let me tell you.

Looks like this one. I was looking around and there's tons of different options that look like they'd be great for makeup storage. Either way, this post reminded me I actually need a spice rack for my kitchen 😂

I use this for travel https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07GXLFQHC/ref=dp_prsubs_1 It's a decent size and I like the separate pocket for brushes, it keeps the rest of the makeup cleaner. At Target Sonia Kashuk has a nice selection of different sizes, prints, and styles if you want something you can check out at the store.

Oh ok. I haven’t seen it on either site. I think my best bet is in store. Oh and btw, I think CG is rereleasing Ebony bronzer in the new full spectrum line, it’s on preorder on amazon here. Packaging is different and there’s a slight name change but I have a feeling it’s the same product.

I’m not sure where you got yours, but check this out!

Totally legit, I just got one last month 😍

I keep all of the bullets & a couple of nude everyday glosses in an acrylic holder like this one, it sits on top of a little set of acrylic drawers for my base / face makeup. The rest just go in a bag like this, when I want to wear it I'll just take it out and then throw it in my handbag for touchups later on :) I try and remember to put them back at the end of the day but I usually forget, by the end of the week I always end up with a handbag full of lip glosses!

Edit: Spelling
