Even an easy Spray can of Hoppes or any gun oil at walmart will do just fine with an extra old tee-shirt or two. Moss 500 are not picky guns and unless you do a 350 round skeet shooting day you dont need to even do more than a light cleaning really, and even then, pump shotguns arent very finicky. Just get some oil on it, wipe everything down and do that once a year or so if you dont use it heavily and you'll be fine. Doing all the internals once to start off is great too just to make sure everything is clean and works smooth which is just a nice touch and know that there's no grit in there. Youtube Mossberg 500 Disassembly and Re-assembly to learn what to do Start there and dont overthink it.
I would start with a light. Positive identification is a must. I've got a TLR-1 that I like.

I found two options.
The first link, you will need to file down the threads so that the sight sits at the correct height for your barrel thickness. I would recommend some blue loctite in the application of this sight.

The sight in 2nd link gets high reviews, but installation is tricky. You will fill the bottom of this sight with an epoxy gel such as JB Weld. Then you you will place the sight over an existing bead sight.
