One of the biggest mistakes people make is thinking "sketching" means drawing. It isn't, sketches can be just squiggly lines that create a form - thing is, doing 20 sketches a day in 15-20 minutes can help you develop your very core handwork.
The Victor Parade anatomy book is commonly used in most courses.
A very basic thing to follow since you want to learn realistic painting:
1.) Sketching Random stuff, around 20-200 a day, upto you if you have the willpower. This is your bread and butter, practice stuff from that book too.
2.) Pencil Rendering, Charcoal. Use 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B Pencils. For finer details, you would need a mechanical pencil. Learn what hatching and stippling are.
3.) Poster Colors and Acrylic: Both of these are similar, remember poster colors aren't really considered upmarket for art, they're cheap and good for practicing.
4.) Watercolor then Ink. Remember Watercolor and Ink have their own style, it's not really photorealistic stuff but pretty stuff. Watercolor requires a lot of practice.
5.) Still Life (also known as Life Study): The whole purpose of this is to study lighting. This is very important. You learn stuff like reflective light etc.
6.) Oil Paints. With the practice of other mediums, you can take on Oil painting which requires a bit of technicality in terms of linseed oil

You don't need a degree for fine arts, you do need one now for Applied Arts in order to get into Graphic Designing, Visualization, Copywriting, Advertising, Art-Direction, Photography etc.

I don't live in Mumbai anymore but I have a completely different observation. I don't lose any hair when I am in Mumbai for vacation but I lose hair where I currently live. Other than bad genetics, poor hair care (dandruff), stress, lack of sleep and a unhealthy diet, I think hard water can be a contributing factor. If you're really serious, see if you can one of those hard water test strips to test hardness of water. If the water is hard, you can shower by adding water softners or perhaps little baking soda.
