Bought this one for my guy a few years ago. Several of the reviews suggest the book went into more detail than the reviewer was comfortable with -- which is exactly what appealed to me.

Had him read it privately, then gave him an opportunity to ask any questions -- "anything goes, no question is stupid." He had a few. Went well for us.

Covers all of the "boy material" you'd expect, but also hit basic "girl material," safe sex, abortion, same-sex relationships, etc. I'm comfortable with, and wanted him to learn about, those topics. If you're comfortable with all that as well, I recommend this book.

The only other official resort in Idaho is Sun Meadow in Worley, 260 miles from Boise. Oregon has a few, but I don't know if any are in the Eastern half, so it depends on how far you're willing to drive. Utah has none, haven't heard of any in Nevada. Don't know about the other neighboring states.

Idaho's big advantage is the hot springs. It's known for having some of the best hot springs in the country, and many of them are traditionally clothing optional. The trick is that none of them, to my knowledge, are officially clothing optional, so it takes familiarity and experience to know which ones are nude-friendly in practice and which are not. I have two books, Hiking Hot Springs in the Pacific Northwest and Hot Springs and Hot Pools of the Northwest, that have extensive information on the whole region, including notes on the trend of clothed vs nude at each one, but I take that with a grain of salt given that it's been a few years since the most recent editions. I can't advise on any of the Idaho springs, since I've really only gone to one in Oregon. It's closer than any of the Idaho springs, but it's a mixed bag at best when it comes to nudity.

Agreed that it doesn't sound particularly welcoming, but I also agree that over the course of human history religion has been responsible for many of mankind's ills. At least the leaders of the major religions.

Moreover, an ethical life can be achieved through reason without resorting to myth and coercion. Just ask Thomas Paine . This would also benefit nudism by removing unfounded fears so that we all could enjoy it freely. You wouldn't need articles claiming that "OOPS! We didn't mean to offend!" Why would anyone assume offense in the first place?

There are classes in hospitality and resort management. If your parents are serious they and/or you should be taking them. Community colleges and even four year colleges offer degrees in this sort of thing.
Campgrounds are a huge industry. There are professional organizations dedicated to it. Find out about them and join.

It's not exactly a beach item, but if you're going by yourself I recommend getting one of those key hides for your car and leaving your valuables (ID, cards, etc) locked inside.

It's not much of an issue, but it's an issue. It's really easy for someone to make off with your wallet if you leave it on the sand and you're in the water. Obviously if you have someone else to keep an eye on it it's not a big deal, but theft does happen.

Also, you should stash a change of clothes in the car. Not because they might get stolen, but mostly because you're likely to have sand everywhere and it's just good sense to have something clean and dry to put on if need be.

That's cool - I totally support reading what you like! I did write some stuff involving non-sexual public nudity, but it doesn't stay that way so I'm not going to post it here.

I did however also publish a book on "nudism for the interested beginner" - it might not be at the level you're looking for but I think it's a good beginner's guide to naturism.

It's a great question. However, I'm not aware of such a list, including trails with sign post warning about nude hikers. My experience is that most long trails can be walked naked, as long you have a sarong or a quick cover up, or you are walking in a group. I recommend the reading of Naked Hiking by Richard Foley (https://www.amazon.com/Naked-Hiking-Richard-Foley/dp/0957243227/ref=sr_1_2), where you can get more advice about the best way to hike. My 2 cents, not really answering your question ;-)

1.) Last I recall paying, it was $6. But haven't been there since last fall so it may have changed.

2.) The nearest Goodwill is about 34 minutes away. Thrift stores are not widely available given the demographic. It seems like there are more Ferraris than Fords on Collins Ave. Miami Beach is where the rich folk show off (it's also the first and last time I paid $9 for a hot dog!) so thrift stores are few and far in between.

I'm willing. I started modeling nude for art classes when I was 18 and went to my first nudist resort the following summer. Depending on where you live, there are nude yoga classes.

That being said, if one isn't available you will want to suck it up and take some clothed classes from a yoga instructor to at least get you started as many poses can be very different depending on small changes in your posture, which the instructor can correct.

This video does have the normal beginner poses in it It is more technical than exciting to watch.

If what's at issue are mostly simplicity, casualness, and comfort, then in the setting you describe, it seems flyless boxer briefs will get you "90 percent" of what you want, with just "10 percent" of the awkwardness or conflict that's possible if one tries for the absolute. I'll link to a fair (if perhaps mildly NSFW) sample at Amazon, just by way of example. These amount to almost nothing, but they seem very unlikely to set anyone off or even to draw comment.
