It's what I tend to do when pineapple is cheap.

Use the corer. Just be a little careful not to go so far down that you break through the bottom of the pineapple. It will pull out the rings of fruit, but there will still be the actual core in the middle of the 'cup'. I take a knife and cut it out (looks better without).

Blend the fruit (using fresh pineapple is sooooo essential for a good pina colada!). Add in and blend cream of coconut.

At this point, if you've used all of the fruit and an appropriate amount of cream of coconut, you've got quite a bit of the pineapple/coconut mix (about 4-5 pineapple cups worth once you add in rum/ice). Remove half of mix, and refrigerate for later use (second batch).

With half the mix in the blender, add rum and ice. Blend together. Pour into pineapple cup (and you will have plenty left that can go into a regular cup for another person, or you can save it to refill the pineapple cup).

Add in a straw (I very highly recommend Boba straws for this), and any decorative touches you might be inclined towards.

/r/fountainpens is neat but be aware you will not be able to do this kind of writing with a fountain pen. You also won't be able to do what many people think of "calligraphy" (german style lettering that has thick and thin parts) with a fountain pen.

If dip pens are a little scary for a beginner, try getting the Pilot Parallel calligraphy pen. Very simple like a fountain pen, dead cheap and you'll be able to do lots of calligraphy with them.

However, dip pens are super cheap and fun to play with. You can get a nice nib, nib holder and ink for $20 on Amazon. Calligraphy is a very cheap hobby to get into.

I bought one of these in 2016. You have to push very gently or risk having a giant long blob of soap pop out. It's called the Evita Rose Foam Whip by Kanebo, available at any drugstore in Japan for about 1200 yen. Smells lovely, very dense foam. I didn't like it on the face much. Hm, I bet it would make a great shaving soap. Maybe I'll grab another one.

Darn. It sounded cool. I'm not sure what area you're in, but I use Bar Keepers Friend on just about everything I can, and it works great. I don't have any cool copper stuff I can test it on, but it might be worth a shot.

That's a Pilot parallel pen, used for calligraphy! Pretty neat.

Found a cast iron ladle with japanese craftsmanship for <$12 on Amazon w/ free shipping

Keto dreams must not be memes

I bought last week a good quality heavy DE razor (Amazon Link), Taylor of Old Bond Street shaving cream (Link), 50 Astra Platinum blades, 50 Gillette Platinum blades, a 6-7$ shaving brush and a nice wooden shaving bowl.

Im at my fourth shave and I still didn't cut myself. You just need to prep-work your skin with a hot towel or a shower. I don't know about the shaving cream since I'm a beginner but I watched a lot of tutorial on YouTube to build a good lather. My first lather was shitty, but my second was already better.

One double edge blade is 10 cents. If you change your blade every two shaves, it will cost you approx. 10$ in blades for an entire year.

I don't know why I've waited so long before making the switch.

I bought one of these for apples, best decision I've made in a long time.

u/MissVancouver · 3 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

You should try some Cella. It smells amazing and the lather is superb.

From the other times this has gotten posted, the consensus seems to be that it's a great idea, but the device itself doesn't work too well in practice. It's got a 2.7 star rating on Amazon, so that might tell you something. You also have to use their expensive proprietary tape, not just any roll of gaffer tape.

Check it out here if you still really want it:

I also went looking for them since I want to try this. From what I found, they’re called Wok Ladles!

This one is smaller and lighter:
www.amazon.com/dp/B001U7CT1U/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_akWvCb06PF7YZ

The two reviews on it are good but say that the handle is a bit short.

This one is probably closer to the one in the video:
www.amazon.com/dp/B007OZ0IBK/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_c_api_i_AnWvCbF7AYGW0

The review says it’s heavy (almost too heavy from how they describe it), and the metal pieces are welded together. I’m going with this one so I could get swole.

I also placed my order prior to posting this before you dumpling freaks out there buy em all..

u/nosmokingbandit · 25 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

Or any store with a home/kitchen department.

These even work well if you don't use it all the time:

I have steel peeler similar to that for when I made applesauce.

u/zombytes · 1 pointr/oddlysatisfying

You can also get a pack of 4 on Amazon for $25 or single pens for $7

Quick search on Amazon through a couple up; OPs Ceramic Glaze Incense Smoke Cone Burner Backflow Censer Tower Holder #5 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01F591CHK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_YJnnybEGA64VE

Anndddd .. I just bought one on Amazon after watching this lol

u/AllKindsOfCritters · 3 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

This one is the original, here's a cheap knock-off with zero reviews but it's the first cheap version I clicked on.

u/AlphaEnder · 6 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

My grandma's got a manual peeler that does this with apples. Peels, cores, slices. I lost my mind when I saw it, and my parents got me one for Christmas. Surprisingly, I've used it much more than I thought I would. Cut up an apple (usually don't peel), get some peanut butter on a plate and nice simple snack.

https://www.amazon.com/Industries-5920-Apple-Peeler-Slicer/dp/B001A6E91E

Looks about the same as mine, probably is.

u/CuteThingsAndLove · 7 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

Isnt this the exact same one in the OP?

GaffTech G20NN0 GaffGun Tape Applicator Complete Bundle with Long Extension Handle, Small/Medium/Large Cable Guides, and Floor Guide https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0171JYP8K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_dvE8BbMF9JGXT

u/GrumpyWampa · 3 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

Something similar and a whole lot cheaper
Starfrit 93209 Rotato Express - Electric Peeler https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X9EPT0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ysuXCbKG58N2Y

u/Starslip · 2 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

But it's not the one in the gif. It's similar, but there's a lot of design differences. This is the one in the gif: https://www.amazon.com/Ceramic-Incense-Burner-Backflow-Censer/dp/B01F591CHK

u/milkybuet · 1 pointr/oddlysatisfying

This is the one posted I believe. But there are cheaper ones available.

u/Panda_911 · 156 pointsr/oddlysatisfying

They're called "Magformers" and they are damned expensive...

https://www.amazon.com/Magformers-63070-Standard-Set-62-pieces/dp/B000VN5ZLA

Other vendors are available etc...

r/Productporn might like it.

u/TorazChryx · 1 pointr/oddlysatisfying

It's cheaper in [Grey] (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Joseph-Nest-Compact-Food-Preparation/dp/B00B1D57EE/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1420855300&sr=8-4&keywords=joseph+joseph+nest)

Although I paid even less than that for mine. (£12.60 !)

It's also available in metal, but is kinda... pricey as hell.
