If you're using green stuff as a mold and as a medium, I'd recommend a silicone mold and 2-part epoxy kit. Been thinking about this too for all the tankbusta bombs I'll need! Links to amazon below.

In truth, the little bolts will likely never turn out very well, as that's a common place for air bubbles. But the kits below work for all sorts of stuff, and quite a bit better than green stuff. The epoxy also cures in like 10 minutes.

For magnets, order this:
https://www.amazon.com/Pin-Vise-Precision-Jewelry-0-6-3-0mm/dp/B07FJ6VD2P

And then these:

You may want/need to double up the magnets for extra security on the arms and hands (like, two stuck in a row), but it's really easy once you do it. I was terrified of magnets and now I put them in everything.

Edit: And super glue is plenty strong to hold the magnets in place. Just make sure you don't have any other magnets or magnetic metal around when you glue them (this includes your hobby knife). I...say that from experience...

Thanks. :) I use simple Blue Tack, leaves no stain cheap and reusable.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0128SFLRI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_fa2EAb5R8B7AM there are a bunch of these cast pencil sharpeners made to look like different artillery. I linked one most like the lobba but there are like 9 or 10 of them.

I butchered my models bad with hobby knives until i switched to metal fine grit files. Testors makes a nice 10 piece set.

Just gently rub down those lines and smooth out whatever else you need.

It’s pretty easy to find at michaels/hobby lobby/etc with the rest of the clay and sculpting stuff

If you’re doing large wraparounds with it I haven’t had issues but flat pieces may need additional adhesive but this isn’t a huge issue since it’s paper based

I've been debating magnetizing my Kanz. However as for magnets I'm currently using something like this. They are 3mm magnets.

Droppers: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01F73QCJM?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_pd_title

Added a couple drops of flow aid (I used Liquitex) to help with the transfer. I don't recommend doing it metallics as it makes them too thin.

Yeah it's called a pin vice. I make a tiny little hole first with hobbie knife so the drill doesn't slip.

Here's an example https://www.amazon.com/Pin-Vise-Precision-Jewelry-0-6-3-0mm/dp/B07FJ6VD2P/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=pin+vise&qid=1563815381&s=gateway&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1 (the one I bought is not longer sold so can't speak to that specific one's quality.)

Chessex makes some really quality small dice that are really pretty to boot. Mine are multicolored red and green like my evil sunz.

Thanks!

I set this team up not taking into account Elites. Don't have the book yet and my friends and I have yet to play a game, so I just based it off of other people's lists. In fact, I literally took this same list:

https://www.reddit.com/r/killteam/comments/a3f3e1/_/eb5nnmi

My only problem with it now is from a fluff perspective. I just don't feel like having a gretchin leader.

The list I'm currently building toward has a Kommando boss nob as the leader, less gretchin and boyz with in a few kommandos added in.

Here's the boxes I used for all these gitz in the picture:

  • 1 x Boyz

  • 1 x Nobz

  • 1 x Gretchin

  • 1 x Lootas/Burna Boyz

Also grabbed the Spellcrow Ork Gas Masks pack off of Amazon, and I plan to use those heads for the Kommandos I'll be adding to the roster. Link to gas mask heads on Amazon

For what's pictured, everything is standard, except for these modifications:

  • The Kommando Boss Nob I used one of the Spellcrow heads, and used the ammo backpack from the Lootas/Burna Boyz box. The rest is all from the Nobz box with one addition: I added a "silencer" on the end of his gun which was a pole from one of the various kits (don't remember which) that I clipped down, drilled out, and glued on.

  • The Boss Nob has a right arm from one of the Lootas that I'm using as a Kombi-skorcha. The actual kombi-skorcha in the Nobz kit is designed for two hands, but it's legal to take another weapon, so hey, you make stuff work!

I'm using a coin cell battery. I need to order a actual battery holder for it. Probably one of these. I also have some small rechargeable batteries I may use. I'll try and get a picture. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GYWNM5I/ref=mp_s_a_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1526607382&sr=8-11&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=coin+cell+holder+with+switch&dpPl=1&dpID=41VWZ4DeHOL&ref=plSrch

I got this off Amazon, it's under 10 bucks and it works amazingly.

If you've never wargamed before I would suggest getting a bucket of toy soldiers and proxy the hell out of them. Get a feel for the rules and what you like and don't like, then start buying figures.

These:
Four colors of doodz
and these:
Vehicles, arty and terrain

One of my favorite battles was between me and another Ork player who played Necrons for practice. His army consisted of poker chips, toy soldiers and a vanilla Yankee Candle (monolith of course). We still had a blast.

EDIT - Okay, the Battle of Vedros set is way cheaper than I was expecting - that would also be a fine starting option.

If you're using a mold made out of green stuff, and don't want to change method too much, I would suggest using magic-sculpt... same principal as green stuff except it has a lower viscosity, responds more drastically to water, and dries harder so it won't flex like the green stuff. I've used this instead of green stuff for decades... way cheaper
