I bought the Pride and Prejudice one that has a cover like a magazine and I'm pretty sure it's a whole series with other books as well.

I think the illustration style is very close to many other comics, but nothing special. The style for Sense and Sensibility here looks really nice too. (though the amazon preview doesn't seem to link to the right book)

I think it sounds like it could be interesting! The same publisher has made similar books for other shows like Fringe

There's two sets of comics right now and a 3rd starting in March. The two completed sets are available in paperbacks from Amazon.

The first set of 5 is the stories of Sarah, Helena, Alison, Cosima & Rachel set in the first season with flashbacks and such to things we haven't seen before. They have some inconsistency with the show such as the Maggie Chen shooting in the Helena story is totally different from what we eventually see in the show and Comic Donnie says Alison was adopted but in-show she was an IVF baby or that Comic Donnie knew about the medical tests on Alison when in show he didn't know of the probing. Still if you want small things like Cosima's monitor before Delphine, what happened to the Hendrixes at the couple's retreat in S1, what Helena was doing before she met Sarah-as-Beth go here. The next comic is 5 issues of Helsinki. I don't know how far you are in the show but we hear mention of the Helsinki Incident in S3 and meet someone from it in S4. This comic is focused on that someone and the why/how of Helsinki. It also has a few details the show hasn't revealed yet which will likely factor into S5.

The 3rd comic doesn't start until March. Orphan Black: Deviations. Finish the show if you haven't already before you look into this one. A six issue story alternate universe where Sarah prevents Beth's suicide. The show gives us the Beth story in S4 so this will take elements of that and twist it. At 6 issues (assuming no delays) it'l wrap in August around the same time as the episodes. It'll be in paperback like the others a few months later. If you want to read it as it comes out Comixology or a local comic shop should have it.

Though it's not quite perfect, perhaps a flute case (and at least that one isn't 500.00!) or a violin case (which seems to have the right proportions, at least)?

ETA: The corrugated section of the lid just looks so specific -- strength without weight. I wonder if it was literally from a field testing kit of some type?

Those discs aren't Region 1 so they won't play in US/Canadian players.

I agree, and it doesn't really seem like something a prop department would bother to make specially. Clarinet seems pretty close as well, though thicker. Too bad I can't combine them somehow! Although the black plastic is smooth on both unfortunately.
