Get a buddy and go indoor rock climbing first, second and third. I love PRG. There you will learn several important things like the basic tie in knot, how to trust the rope and how to belay with a grigri. You will learn to use your whole body without trying to do pull ups. Its really pretty easy to get people to go indoor climbing vs outdoor, and then you can find the people who like climbing and you trust with your life.

If you are the kind of person who likes to read about things before going out and trying them, try this and if you want to do trad (not pre anchored sport routes) this.

When I first started climbing, I almost took a class here. If you don't have a bunch of indoor climbing experience, some experienced friend, or just a mind for detail and a crap load of overconfidence - take the class. I learned as I went with a few good friends, but there were a few lessons that we almost learned the hard way. Have fun up there!

We just planted our spring/summer crop, it's mostly tomatoes and stuff like squash, cucumber, etc. Dave the Garden Guy from 3TV has a great book on arizona gardening, and there are some great Facebook groups as well.

The starter decks are a good start but they usually don't have enough cards in them, and too many land. This is a good thing to get as well:
https://www.amazon.com/Magic-Gathering-Deck-Builders-Toolkit/dp/0786955651

It will have random cards in it from all colors, so he'll be able to tweak and customize the decks to his liking.

And yea.. this can be an expensive hobby.. but it doesn't have to be. If he is able to work I'd say time to get a job if you want more than this!

I am not an expert but have been growing here for several years and can try to answer questions. But check out gardenweb, it's a great resource.

Gardening here is different than the rest of the country so you might want to pick up a book to learn about the unique soil. This one is old but it's what I've used.

There are a lot of behavioral interventions that you can attempt on your own with or without a doctor's assistance that have been shown to reduce migraines. The best resource for this is probably The Migraine Brain.

I offer this resource as a person with direct experience with the book and from a family of migraine sufferers. Generally, our migraines manifest themselves differently (I become an irascible asshole, my sister becomes completely debilitated, etc...). We have found that it's pretty much trial and error for each person. After that, finding a neurologist that is willing to work on behavioral interventions is really about interviewing them up front.

Best of luck.

We’ll ask around to friends and family but that’s a hard to find item, out of print, and publisher doesn’t have any either...

If anyone gets back to us I’ll let you know.

In the mean time, i know this wouldn’t be cheap, but sounds like time is short and precious... it looks like one seller on Amazon does have it and will ship same day...

A Dark Dark Wood - David Carter - Amazon

If you ordered tonight or tmw should arrive wherever by Tuesday...

I lost my mother a couple years ago and my cousin just lost his father so I totally understand and respect what you are trying to do.

Give me one second and I’ll try to find the book I had to read in my AZ history class in college.

Edit: Found it! It’s pretty comprehensive but not too bad of a textbook vibe. I think the most interest part is the battle over water at the turn of the century and how that charged a lot of the politics of the state - oh and the Mormons as well.

Unless you absolutely have to buy it from a store, you will have better luck buying it online.

You're so linear.
Go grab a Black's Law Dictionary and define those terms under their legal meaning and not your interpretation of them.

Never said The Church of satan wasn't a legal religion. So is the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. That doesn't mean I thing alot of Pastafarians should come dressed as pirates to essentially disrupt a tradition that myself & others consider to be very important.

For the record, I don't hate strippers. Why would you assume I do?
I don't approve of their choices of profession but that's the same for many things. I don't hate. It's not in my nature.

Chicago is well known in the community. He was on the cover and discussed in this book about homelessness as well: https://www.amazon.com/Homeless-Hero-Understanding-Soul-Home/dp/1458210642

Marriage in its modern form has only existed for a century, if that. It's not correct to say it is a religious ceremony. The civil ceremony has existed for far longer.

Here's some good reading on this: http://www.amazon.com/Marriage-History-How-Love-Conquered/dp/014303667X

In America, the ceremony is both to some people, but only civil to others. My marriage will not be religious.

It really seems petty to say only the religious can use this word with all the history and meaning behind it while everyone else gets a civil union. At this point, I really don't think much of the opposition to marriage equality can be contributed to those that would force everyone to have a civil union first and some a marriage second. People don't oppose marriage equality for that reason.

Even then, many religions conduct same-sex marriages and are fighting to get all of their marriages recognized by the state the way that other religions have their marriages recognized. It's a freedom of religion issue in this way.

I literally just installed an antenna 5 minutes ago and I had to adjust it and put it on the wall instead of the TV to get 12-1. Using this thing and get everything. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07VG8BTB2/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_apa_i_kHFtDb7JF022N

I don't see one online just by using google but I know one exists because it's in this book. I got it at Southwest Gardener in Phoenix. Its published by the master gardeners so it also has that same planting calendar in it that's linked above.

It's not the first time that Phoenix has been given that designation.
