I got mine pierced at 16g. Most stretching kits start with that size anyway. I'm currently at a 2g now and it took about a year to get there. They sell super cheap kits that are actually really good.

Great quality, only about 16 bucks, titanium tapers and plugs, from size 14g I think to 00g.

I bought mine when I started to stretch and saved lots of money not buying individual ones

I've never been able to wear in-ear headphones; they're incredibly uncomfortable to me (regardless of piercings) and constantly fall out. So I use over-the-ear headphones instead. These are my favorite.

I don't yet have a daith, but for what it's worth, those over-the-ear headphones have been perfectly fine with my rook.

I used these and loved them! They are what we use where I work to cover the insertion site for an IV. This size was just perfect!

When all else failed we went the DIY route for our teenager and made something like this but hard shell ear protection for wrestling like this will work as well.

I was suggesting the liquid soap, like this one

This is all I've been able to find, unfortunately.

You could probably find other interesting nipple rings on etsy. This place also has an incredibly large selection to choose from and great prices. I've never used this website before, so I wouldn't be able to tell you how reliable they are. There are also a few links to places to buy jewelery from on the right side bar.

I put my SSS in these little rubber bowls then just put my whole ear in it. I got mine at Publix but you can probably find them anywhere. They do a better job at suctioning to my ear than dixie cups!

I absolutely adore these. They're reusable and I never see them through clothing.

Here's these. Just a simple rubbery thing. I had one for my labret and never had any problems. Thing is, 14g is pretty thick for a nose piercing. Is it a ring? It's hard to find a retainer that size specifically made for noses.

I have a Christina piercing, but I use one of those eyebrow razor things and it works really well!

I have worn these (https://www.amazon.com/Nippies-Reusable-Silicone-Pasties-NON-ADHESIVE/dp/B001O482W4) every day for about two years and love them. They are silicone and manage to stick to your skin without any adhesive. I am not sure if a ring would interfere with this sticking process at all, but I would think they would still work. Let me know if you end up trying them because I've considered getting this piercing.

This is the one you want. There is one that has copper in and there used to be a hypertonic one but this one is just salt and water. There is nitrogen but that's only the propellant and it's inert.

I got mine a year ago, and had the same problem, also about 2-3 months after getting it. My biggest problem was how I cared for it: I started using [Spectro jel] (https://www.amazon.ca/Spectro-facial-cleanser-fragrance-200ml/dp/B0007RQH1M/ref=sr_1_6?hvadid=208394357491&hvdev=t&hvlocphy=9001019&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=e&hvrand=9221058852205370237&hvtargid=kwd-309238601436&keywords=spectro+jel&qid=1550519295&s=gateway&sr=8-6&tag=googcana-20). The bump and pain went away after about a week of using it. I usually rub it on the area, leave it on for 30 seconds, and wash it off. I do the same with my nose screw. Now, I have no bump, discolouration whatsoever.

Sorry for the late response...Initially I found I didnt get many crusties with my rook. But when I did they were on top and I would just let them be for the most part. In fact they looked a bit dark initially and hard to see and I thought it was a weird darker bruise and not crusties which is why they were left alone for a while... I found that doing a saline soak after a shower can really help loosen the crusties over time. I dont use a cotton ball but I soak a makeup removing pad from shiseido (they dont have loose fiber issues from what I can tell) and I find that I can sometimes just wipe off any loose crusties or they appear on my pad after a soak (usually with my conch).

I have tried using a wet q tip for my rook a few times and found they were hard to get in the nooks (underneath) due to size. But another redditor posted these types of qtips (link below) which I recently ordered. Tried twice with no issues so far (but cant really give a review on it yet) but I find myself just leaving my rook alone or doing soaks in general if bothered.. Usually with a piercing... if its been a couple months (unless irritated) I usually go the leave it alone route, rinse in showers vs the daily soaks I start off with... partially due to laziness and seeing no need if the piercing doesnt hurt/or is bothering me at the time.

For me, a nose ring retainer made my hole look less noticeable from a few metres away, but I always thought it looked a bit odd up close. Just because it was transparent but still visible, I was always worried people would think it’s a pimple or something. But that’s just my personal opinion; I know other people who think retainers are barely noticeable. Apparently you can also get flat kind like this: http://www.amazon.com/Gauge-Clear-Flat-Bioplast-Retainer/dp/B003T1TWYM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342747389&sr=8-1& And from what I gather, loads of workplaces are totally fine with nose piercings. I work as a waitress, and most of my supervisors have told me that I can wear my stud unless I get complaints from customers.

When I got my rook done, the piercer used a barbell. I eventually replaced it with a curved barbell for a while because the straight one got in the way when I was wearing earbuds. After a while I just got frustrated with it and took the jewelry out. But I am only one person and I don’t want to put you off it just because of my own bad experience! Different people heal differently.
