Amazon is probably your best bet. These are the best card sheets available in my opinion, but it's unnecessary for, say, individual sets or master sets; I mostly use them for my binder of rare and valuable cards. These are probably the second best option and are good for any type of card, otherwise the regular ones found at Walmart and Target are fine; the only thing is they tend to sag at the bottom if the binder is standing vertically but it doesn't damage or affect the cards at all.

For binders, I haven't played around with too many different kinds, but I am very satisfied with the Avery brand. Here's the specific kind I use.

Just preference on what you like. I like being able to see both sides of the card so I use regular Ultra Pro penny sleeves on my cards. I've been slowly finding my old collection of Pokemon and a lot of the top loaders have yellowed some but the cards inside the sleeves are fine. This an ok deal on penny sleeves and Top Loaders I've got before: https://www.amazon.com/3x4-Top-Loaders-Ultra-Pro/dp/B002K2MNGK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1510800635&sr=8-1&keywords=3x4+Top+Loaders+100+ct+by+Ultra+Pro+-+Plus+100+Free+Card+Sleeve+Promo+Pack+%281+Pack%29

Recently found out about these Pro-Fit sleeves that fit Pokemon cards perfectly and have been using these for cards that I put in binder pages.
https://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Pro-Standard-Pro-Fit-Transparent-Sleeves/dp/B005HXLH3O/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1510800779&sr=1-1&keywords=Ultra-Pro+Standard+Pro-Fit+Transparent+Clear+Sleeves+%28100%2FPack%29+89mm+x+64mm

The solid back colored sleeves to me look alright if you are playing with the cards.

Ultra pro mini fit stackable cases. A standard sized card sleeved with a KMC perfect fit inner sleeve fits perfectly inside it without damaging anything. It doesnt fit standard sized sleeves though.

Its a nice cheap display option for when magnet/screw snap fit cases are too expensive or bulky. It fits in a deck box as well!

Here's the link on Amazon!

https://www.amazon.com/Collectible-Display-Cabinet-Holder-Lockable/dp/B001L2KHT0

It's pretty pricey at around 60 bucks, but the UV protection, ease of use, and pleasant aesthetic make it a totally worthwhile purchace if you would wanna do something similar!

While you may not be pricing the cards, using the pricing guide on tcgplayer.com is a good place to start organizing specific sets. It can also give you a general market value for all conditions as you are organizing. If you see the market value on a specific card is much higher than others in the set, you should consider protecting that one with penny and hard sleeves(or depending on the card, perhaps more than that). If you are going to store your cards in binders, i recommend these sleeves for inside sleeves and these sleeves for the outside soft sleeve prior to putting in a binder like this or like this.

Binders

edit: I use these specific binders for good reasons. They are the right size for 1-2 complete sets, or 1 complete master set. They are four ring which supports the pages linked perfectly. They are D-ring, tat being their rings are shaped like a backwards letter D. This makes sure that when closed, your pages are aligned and not being stretched around the ring, or pinched between the metal ring and the case.

Pages.

edit: I have tried other pages, I honestly cannot find ones that match my preference to these. Sideloading - a must for obsessive cleanliness. Good backing that allows smooth insertion. Pockets are large enough that they can hold a sleeved card comfortably (in fact, I would recommend sleeving cards with these pages, to make the fit more secure).

It's only really worth splitting your set, if it splits logically. i.e. do you have an almost complete set of Steam Siege? No? That'd be a waste of a binder.

Having said that you could organise by card generation if your cards vary over a long time - so WoTC, EX, Platinum, D&P etc. Or by type, or artist, or just by the National Pokedex.

It really depends on what your cards actually are and how you want to display them. I have thousands of other cards that span every set, and they're either in tins or card boxes. I personally only like putting almost complete sets on display in binders, but that's my personal preference.

its honestly very hard to say

on one hand, no one really knows how much of this set pokemon inc plans on printing, they could chose to under-stock it for its lifespan to keep the value of the cards high

on the other hand, like i said above you can look at hidden fates as if they plan on doing the same pattern as Shining Legends and Dragon Majesty. If you look at the Dragon Majesty Ultra Box, its still available, and its currently selling at 75% of its retail price from a year ago

Thanks! The binder is just a standard red Avery binder - I got it all on Amazon!

Enjoy!

Thank you! It has been a long process lol
For the dividers, I use the BCW trading card dividers. I got them here:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005LIF20O/ref=ppx_yo_mob_b_inactive_ship_o0_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1&th=1
I then used a label maker with a small clear tape to stick on them.

Bigger than 3x4 and my favorite top loaders to use. So 3x4 actually sounds small to me lol

Yah I was really happy to get that Deoxys card simply because of how great it looks. Including the second box, I find it weird that I actually got more FA than regulars. Not to mention the very weird fact that I did not get a single ace spec card.

As for the card sleeves, I just used this. I don't believe in getting the high quality stuff since I am more of a collector and don't really play.

u/Xileets · 1 pointr/pkmntcgcollections

well, because of the size. Often players use the "perfect sleeves", the ones you were looking at 64 x 89mm, inside your "standard sized" card sleeves like these

The "penny sleeves" are too big and cause bulging in the standard sleeve.

u/qdawg321 · 2 pointsr/pkmntcgcollections

The sleeves matter more than the binder, I'd suggest an Ultra Pro Pro-Binder. Pretty much the same as a Monster Binder, but a helluva lot cheaper! Monster binders are $30+.

a google search would answer this

http://www.trollandtoad.com/Pokemon/5134.html

https://www.amazon.com/Pokemon-Platinum-Supreme-Victors-Booster/dp/B002L4MDLC

http://www.trollandtoad.com/p275274.html (out of stock however)

Should give a general idea of card market value and he cost for packs/booster boxes (36 packs)

u/Credits_PTCGO · 2 pointsr/pkmntcgcollections

I just use the single pocket ultra pro sleeves. They are bigger than the card but thicker material and dont flop around as much as the above.

I use these binders for my master sets, you will find 20 pages of 9 cards (360 total) is more than enough to hold one full master set.
