I've heard good reviews about this product but haven't tried it myself http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01BFDN80Y/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1464713848&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=pax+case&dpPl=1&dpID=31bKXkbemgL&ref=plSrch

On the other hand I use a pelican case everyday and I've been happy with it. Definitely smell proof, water tight and durable. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004WKK8BU/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1464713978&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=pelican+1010&dpPl=1&dpID=51py2nS0FqL&ref=plSrch

Lastly I carry a medtainer. Also, water/smell proof and durable. Holds my flowers and does a great job getting that nice fine grind I like for my pax. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00DRHHYJI/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1464714149&sr=8-1&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=medtainer&dpPl=1&dpID=41cjz-wDGJL&ref=plSrch

That's been my set up for almost a year in an illegal state. It's worked very well for me.

Here's a cleaning video to give you an idea of what you will need.

I recommend Randy's or Zen stiff bristle pipe cleaners because fluffy ones will leave little "fuzzies" in your Pax. You can pick these up at your local head shop.

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers do wonders for getting your oven looking new again. You cut a piece off of the magic eraser, stick a toothpick in it, and move it around inside the oven and it will remove a lot of stuck on residue.

When cleaning, DO NOT GET ANY ALCOHOL ON THE TEMP BUTTON! Your Pax will die because of it.

I don't think a finishing grinder is necessary. Especially for another 40 bucks. I use a 4 piece and that's fine.

Pick up some metal pipe screens. Stainless or brass work fine. You will use them as seen in this video. I highly recommend this guys method. I use 2 screens staggered on top of each other though, because one isn't quite wide enough to fit the width of the bowl oven. Loading a full bowl oven is completely too much bud. I'm a heavy user and loading it halfway is perfect for me. If you load it full, you'll burn the bottom half of the bowl oven and the top half will be left green. Then you'll have to stir it. Then you're left with green weed mixed with cooked weed and it diminishes the taste. I'd rather just cook a half bowl oven completely and then reload it. I much prefer a fresh bowl oven compared to a half cooked one. Plus, a whole bowl oven is a lot to finish in one session. I promise.

Only other thing I'd recommend is a portable container to go along with your Pax so you can load it on the go.

Edit: Oven, not bowl. I still think I'm smoking a bong.

Edit 2: You're also going to want something to pack your weed down with and stir with. When I'm on the go, I use my swiss army knife. When I'm at home I just use a pencil eraser. They say you can use the oven lid to pack it but I've heard of people melting their lid by doing it when the oven is hot. So I'd advise against it.

Edit 3: Your Pax should come with lubricant. If it doesn't, contact Ploom and have them send it to you. Though the packets are a bitch to deal with. You can buy the same stuff (propylene glycol) on Amazon and get a lot more of it (even though you won't need hardly any) while having it in a solid container, not a paper packet.

I'm telling you this because you will get your Pax. And you will use it for anywhere from 3-10 times. And then you will notice that your mouthpiece is sticking. And then you will notice that the light on the front doesn't turn purple (heating up) but rather goes straight to the color of the temp setting. You will then proceed to come ask /r/paxploom the same question that has been asked many of times already on here by a number of other Pax owners.

The light issue is due to residue buildup. The lubricant helps prevent buildup and helps keep your mouthpiece functioning smoothly. I just put a bit of lubricant on a toothpick and then proceed to put it on the mouthpiece. It doesn't take very much to go a long way.

Also, never lay your Pax sideways. Always sit it upright. Especially when it's hot or warm. Leaving it upright assures that no residue will run down to the mouthpiece and cause the sticking issue.

Edit 4: On the advice of others, don't use Propylene Glycol. It can void your warranty. Just to be safe, I'd use their "approved lubricant." The "don't use anything other than our approved lubricant" has been a response to people asking whether they can use, Astroglide, WD-40, and other substances. Which for one, isn't safe for your health, and two, will leave long lasting residue.

im no expert but im willing to take a guess that bud wouldnt grind well at all in those, you'd junk it up with resins and keif.

I'd just go for your run of the mill basic grinder. Dont go for the cheap ones that have was look like dog collar spikes that do the grinding, you wont be left with fine product.

This is basically the grinder I have, and it does a great job

Nice! I also use a Pelican 1010 case, the Pax2 fits perfectly.

I use a travel size of Visine instead, and I also use Nalgene 15ml containers for the herb, which just barely fit in the case.

i'm looking at it and i cannot justify spending $20 on a mini cheese grater. i already have like six of those. including this one. whenever i grind i grind between 2 and 10 grams, so i should be relatively fine. easy to clean up after too

I also have one of these and love it. I would absolutely recommend it. Actually, this sub is probably sick of hearing me recommend it by now.

Try a magic eraser. It just wipes away any brown build-up. I tear a bit off and use use tweezers/needlenosed pliers to scrub it inside for like 5 seconds and it's as good as new.

It's just food grade propylene glycol. I bought this big guy - 1qt (32oz) for $13 - and it'll last me for a lifetime.

An Indian Crusher, nothing too special, but it's taken almost two years of use, so I can't complain! http://www.amazon.com/Indian-Crusher-Piece-Toabcco-Grinder/dp/B008668T9Y

use this, damn. stop buying and rationing pax packets. disclaimer: you might develop a jerking off habit that is exacerbated by the dope. still, you need 1/10000 of the bottle per cleaning session. the PAX packets are a scam. really any water-based tasteless/odorless lubricant will suffice. this is my favorite for cross-use (fucking and cleaning).

In my experience, masticating (or mulching) grinders are functional but eventually awful. They accumulate a noticeable amount of wasted herb in the grinding process. Unfortunately, I only know of one alternative, and they are taking too long to start shipping units from pre-orders. I currently use a [very large Space Case grinder] (http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0043X6P8G) and a [smaller SharpStone crank driven grinder] (http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00E7VJG94). I don't like either of them. Hoping I get my cutting grinder soon.
