Arguably the best coming of age book written in the last 20 years. Even has a character from Cloud Atlas tucked in there - showing some foreshadowing.

If you ever wondered why David Mitchel writes deconstructed prose and uses such precise language and voice - read about his childhood. Black Swan Green is a place in England.

It's even better than This Boy's Life by Tobias Wolff IMO.

You can find it for about [$40 USD on Amazon](The Art of Prey https://www.amazon.com/dp/1506703992/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0SKlDbD9FVAZX) (currently on sale for $25 USD). The digital version is about $12 USD.

There's a Kotaku article with some highlights. You can find a lot of the really cool art on the dev's artstations, such as Fred Augis, Manu Petit, Sadie Boyd, Dimitry Sorokin, etc. A search for Prey on Artstation brings up a lot of cool concept art, a lot of which isn't in the book.

Edit: If you want to look at the game art assets directly, there's also a huge texture dump here by NervousEnergy for Prey and here for Mooncrash.

Perhaps, bioshock? https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B003OUXECE/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1

I would ask this question /r/books, I am curious to know as well. I was looking with something futuristic but with retro aesthetics to read and couldn't find any either.

The other commenters have covered Prey's stealth pretty well. I just want to point out two things about the boss fights in Deus Ex: Human Revolution:

(1) The fights were originally subcontracted out in their entirety to a separate development studio, which is why they felt nothing like the rest of the game.

(2) The fights were completely redesigned in the Director's Cut of the game, so you *can* stealth your way through them in that version. (I highly recommend replaying the whole game with the Director's commentary on.)
