I normally eat non-organic fresh foods, but lately I've been thinking more about going organic with food and all beauty products. I am not really afraid of GMOs right now, but am always reading about nutrition, health and stuff, so maybe something will convince me to switch.

I recently watched Michael Pollan's In Defense of Food on Netflix, and found it really inspiring and informative to start eating more real food, and focus less on the calories. As he mentions (or maybe this was in Fed Up, which I watched immediately after), I have the unpopular opinion that a 200 calorie candy bar is metabolized different than 200 calories of unprocessed food, and the fiber/sugar differences are incredibly important.

Diet foods like Diet Coke and Halo Top are often really appealing to me, because I do have such intense sugar cravings, but these are seeming more and more like poison.

This is a really awesome book by Pollan, illustrated by one of my favorite artists. And here are his food rules.

Suicide ideation is a daily thing for me, you're not alone.

I've also had issues trusting health professionals and I know how much anxiety-inducing it is to look for one, but there's somebody out there who could help you in the environment that you're comfortable in. I've also found mindfulness meditation helpful and research has shown that it is therapeutic for relieving psychological conditions. I recommend reading this book if you are interested.

There's this vegan cook book I know called "The Vegan Stoner" with quick, easily recipes. And I'm sure that they'd be pretty healthy things, like broccoli and carrots. It's a little bit pricey but it might help you on cutting cals when it comes to munchies :)

My sleep is always the first thing to go wonky. It's impossible to fall asleep at a normal hour. I've given up on trying. I'll just read, play slitherio, or write silly fanfics. Definitely rough mornings. Thankfully I work at a coffee shop, so an espresso machine is always nearby.

These are the most delicious omega supplements ever if you want to give them a try! https://www.amazon.com/Coromega-Omega-3-Supplement-Squeeze-90-Count/dp/B000FFQATA?th=1

My favorite cookbook is [Preserve it!]
(http://www.amazon.com/Preserve-DK/dp/0756662087/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1459386374&sr=8-1&keywords=preserve+it%21) . There's a bookshop by my old place that only sells cookbooks, so almost all of my disposable income is spent on cookbooks of some kind or another. This book has a pretty good pickling section.

I get them in HEB because I live in Texas. You can get them from Walmart or Target as well. You can also order off of Amazon. They're kind of expensive, but actually a little cheaper than Quest Bars if you buy the 12 pack online.

I've tried the Mocha and the Triple Chocolate and both are amazing.

I am also trying to stop. I had a 12 day run pretty recently. It's hard! I don't even really "binge." It's just "regular meals" that make me feel overly full and then I just can't cope with that sensation. I am trying to delay purging and just increase my ability to deal with feeling full, or distract myself in some way. This book is also really good: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0393711285/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I bought a mini measure.
http://www.amazon.com/HIC-Harold-Import-Co-21GM/dp/B0000CFO3W

Also, I use Silk soy creamer in my coffee, and it is only 20 calories per tbsp. So Delicious makes a similar product with coconut milk, and that one is only 10 calories per tbsp.

I have this version of that book https://www.amazon.com/Illustrated-Dream-Dictionary-PAMELA-BALL/dp/1435108019/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1487610511&sr=1-3&keywords=pamela+ball+dream+dictionary
I'm pretty sure they're just different editions, but the one I have has more pictures and has more things to look up in it, I have seen the one you linked before though in stores so either one probably works!

Actually a DXA takes three measurements - your bone density, your body fat mass, and your lean mass. It's not selective, all three will be results and it's actually considered the gold standard in body fat % because it uses those three components rather than the two other test use (just lean & fat mass). So if you get your results it should have all three! I don't know how your doctor works with stuff like that (mine will post lab results in an online portal so I can see everything), but you can absolutely ask for the full results regardless of your diagnosis! I'm actually jealous you get to do one!!

I use [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Omron-HBF-306CN-Fat-Loss-Monitor/dp/B000FYZMYK/ref=sr_1_3_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1469497242&sr=1-3&keywords=body+fat) and I've compared it against calipers and a bod pod. Calipers are typically the least accurate way to measure. Scanners like mine are varying quality. I was a little skeptical of it at first, but after comparing it against those other two at several weights and body fat compositions, I'm amazed at how accurate it's been! Would 100% reccommend!!!

And yeahhhh I was extremely into fitness for a long time! I still love running but it's unfortunately had to be majorly cut down because it's just not safe at my weight, especially in hundred degree heat! :(

Yeah, it’s creepy and gross. Just like this book, which I’ve never read (will never read) but seen at work: https://www.amazon.com/Timothy-Tunny-Swallowed-Bunny-Grossman/dp/0060280107
