Yeah, this is a great source for info on the Stooges. The Best of Punk Magazine by John Holmstrom also has some great pieces on Iggy and the Stooges as well. Both Legs McNeil and John Holmstrom were involved in creating Punk Magazine.
American Skin by Don Degrazia
American Skin: A Novel https://www.amazon.com/dp/0684862220/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_hAHmxbB22J6A9
It's about being a young skinhead in Chicago. It's kinda fucked up, but a very good, and easy read.
Also anything by Aaron Cometbus
DOUBLE DUCE https://www.amazon.com/dp/086719586X/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_7CHmxb6Q25WF6
Double Deuce is my favorite, but it's about being punk in the 80s/90s in California's Bay Area.

I have a book about the three of them called "Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell." It's great.

Punk House is a pretty entertaining photo book about... well, punk houses. The house I used to live in is in there, too, so that's cool for my nostalgia.
Open Up and Bleed is a great biography of Iggy Pop. I highly recommend it.
Have fun feeding yourself friend.

Just Kids - Patti Smith
I Dreamed I Was A Very Clean Tramp - Richard Hell
Clothes, Clothes, Clothes. Music, Music, Music. Boys, Boys, Boys.: A Memoir - Viv Albertine
Please Kill Me is good. Then if you are into the 90's Seattle scene, check out Everybody Loves Our Town as well.
One of my favorite Tiger Army tracks.
Kinda wondered if it was related to this book: http://www.amazon.com/Under-Saturns-Shadow-Wounding-Psychology/dp/0919123643
Neon Angel, Cherie Currie's autobiography that the 2010 movie about the Runaways was loosely based on. A cool perspective on the Hollywood glam scene in the 70's, Currie's experience with the band, and her life in general.
Here is the simple fact. Black people today in the US are still oppressed. They are. I don't care if you don't see it in your community. Again, if you want actual examples and facts, and not emotions (which my original post was void of, save the edit part), get this book from the library, message me when you're done, and we can talk about it - https://www.amazon.com/New-Jim-Crow-Incarceration-Colorblindness/dp/1595586431
