Good coverage, totally support this. Couple of things:
I would get a stand for the phone, you can get one of these for really cheap and a cheap tripod and that would greatly help the video presentation.

Also, have your notes off to the side so you can quickly glance and also just do a quick run down before you hit record.

Those would greatly affect your videos, I like this man keep it up! Curious to see your thoughts going into the season. Good job!

Thanks for the tips guys. I ended up going with "Game of My Life New York Rangers: Memorable Stories of Rangers Hockey" as it seemed to be a pretty general book that would cover a lot of great eras and stories.

I definitely plan on checking out the 2 other mentioned books and will probably just get them for myself and lend them to him. I try to read about a book per week in the summer.

My dad bought me this book and I read it on a 5 hour flight so it's not super long, but i enjoyed it

Especially if you "lived" through the rangers/devils and the 90s, it was pretty interesting to hear from all the different perspectives. And of course to re-live 94 again

eh, enjoy it but don't read too much into it. When I was young and foolish I was ecstatic when the 2000-01 Rangers, who nobody gave any chance of making the playoffs, were in the almost exact position this team is around thanksgiving. Then then the season turned out so horribly they actually wrote a book about how bad they were. https://www.amazon.com/Nightmare-33rd-Street-Season-Rangers/dp/0970917007. But this is a re-building team, the 2000 rangers were not, and if an expansion franchise can win a conference championship I'll believe anything can happen.

This book by Steve Zipay who has covered NY sports for Newsday for years is a great starting point. I would actually recommend it to all Ranger fans, not just newcomers

I'll second the Wyshynski book as a good primer. If you are stats minded, Stat Shot is a good primer.

Get one. It´s money well spent.

I didn't know what you were talking about until I googled it and found it on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/GAEMS-G155-Sentry-Personal-Gaming-Environment/dp/B00A7VK16A

I read this book and he did an AMA in /r/hockey not too long ago. I cant remember the exact percentage that a dump and chase ends up into a goal, but its bad.
