>Googles own website where you go to preorder the console. It was the first link when I googled Google Stadia so it should be easy to find.

>If their list of "games available on the platform" includes games that wont be available for over a year... as well as some that have no estimated release date what so ever... well, that's enough for me to consider it an untrustworthy practice, but I suppose individual opinions may vary.

Agree to disagree on that. Any platform will show games available down the line, Steam, PSN Store or Microsoft Store. I don't think advertising games that aren't available instantly is a negative.

>If I understand the service... it's just streaming the games from another device.

Yes.

>It's a safe assumption it has a USB dongle that connects it to the computer. It would cost then pennies on the dollar to add an male HDMI cable to the dongle. This is literally all a chromecast is outside its OS.

I'm confused what you mean, you do realise that the preorder is just a controller + a chromecast ultra, right? There's no "USB dongle"?

>Prior streaming services like this were able to connect to the TV and were sold explicitly for this purpose. Unfortunately they were all short lived as streaming even videos at the time was demanding and the latency for games was unacceptable...

To be fair, I'm really enjoying this new streaming tech and I've played tens of hours of CS:GO comp/Overwatch/Ubisoft games via Parsec/GEForce Now/etc..., while none have been perfect they are all perfectly acceptable. My main issue with GeForce now is that it seems to be capped at 60FPS and often goes all blurry. Latency has been nothing but perfect though.

>It's hard to view this as anything other than google removing a vital feature so they have an excuse to sell more chromecast.

What do you mean "remove a vital feature"? What feature are they removing?

>No word was given on their site whether a subscription was needed or not for multiplayer connectivity.

No subscription needed for playing multiplayer, source

>It's not even clear if its cross platform or if I'd be stuck playing Borderlands with other Stadia owners exclusively.

Cross-platform is at the developer's choice, source:

"Are you going to have cross-platform play?
We're committed to developing an accessible and welcoming environment for all gamers and plan on working with top-tier devs, which include those who want to enable cross-platform play."

>How do you hold the phone screen and controller at the same time on a public train? If you just rest the phone on your lap or an empty seat you're just begging to get your stuff swiped in any major city.

I live in London, but ultimately:

  1. National rail trains have tables, which I often leave my phone on to watch YouTube/Netflix.
  2. Tube doesn't have any internet connectivity in between stations, so I wouldn't be able to play there
  3. I've been umming and ahhing about getting one of these, depending on how well Stadia/Shadow works.

    >Google in confident in all their products, whether they half ass it or go 210% in... up until the second they abandon them.

    Fair enough.

Yoo idk this isn’t really related, but my grandfather played poker for a living...(I believe he finished top ten in the 1996 World Series of poker)...but he gave me a book when I was a kid..idk what it was called, but it was about a guy named Amarillo Slim...he was a hustler in the Wild West...and I think you would thoroughly enjoy reading about him.

Edit: Here it is!!!

Amarillo Slim: In A World Full Of Fat People

I literally have like three tokens on my amazon account for free audiobooks, and I know it’s possible for me to somehow gift audiobooks to people...if you’re interested I’ll get it and see if I can find out how to send it to you!

I will gladly oblige!

Stew

I omitted the peas because peas are gross. I added rosemary to it and swapped tomato sauce with a fresh tomato.

You can choose thickness as you wish and omit the cornstarch thickening solution per your souping needs.

As most folks don’t own a pressure cooker or perhaps “instant pot”...but a crock pot will suffice, it will just take much longer to cook everything thoroughly. Rule of thumb is to cook until tender- potatoes and meat taking the longest.

[Cooking device for those inclined]

Might want to wait, cyber Monday is coming up very soon. You might be able to get a better deal from other dealers.

There are so many variations on leather gambler's hats out there, it's hard to tell. The "Australian Outback" hat design is pretty close, too. https://www.amazon.com/Overland-Sheepskin-Co-Crushable-Chocolate/dp/B0002SP564
