I'm sure logicalincrements has something useful. I got mine during the November sales for like $200 flat. It's an excellent drive but it's pretty pricy when its not on sale (and even when it is).

Personally, I'd wait till November since things will be on sale and in RS2: Vietnam every slot fills up in 5 seconds anyway so you're just taking a gamble you get your preferred slot anyway with or without a SSD. It does make gaming pretty great in general though - you will never bottleneck because of a hard drive.

For your consideration.

Studio quality frequency response, long battery life (50hrs), Bluetooth, good reviews, seems to be in your price range. Can't speak to the quality of the mic, but I'm sure it does the job. The only minuses was the weird charging situation and some build quality issues that honestly are always present on wireless and even wired headphones in this price range. Cheers

Open to suggestions? I used to play with this Red Dragon; nice and light, comfy palm grip and there are DPI settings are from 800-3200. I've since gotten myself a Logitech G502 with even more DPI setting options and more button to use, though it also weighs and costs more. I got mine at Best Buy for $30 on sale, but I really like this mouse so I got another one for my brother.

Just going to add. There's another, very good book that was released a few years back by Mark Bowden of Black Hawk Down fame. It covers it from all sides including this story, although obviously not as detailed given the focus.

Michael Mann is directing a docu on FX on this book which will be interesting. It will likely be in the mould of look at everything from all angles documentary-style that Ken Burns and Lynn Novick revived, rather than the guitar-riff and exaggerated adjective heavy style.

If you have time to read/listen to a large novel, check out Matterhorn by Karl Marlantes. It's historic fiction focusing on a company of US Marines during their time in 1969. Great read, one of my favorite war novels.

Headset Surround Sound is a scam. There is no way tiny drivers spaced less than an inch apart and then being put an inch from your ear is going to create proper surround sound and the virtual surround bullshit is even worse.

Just get a good pair of stereo headphones and an external mic. You'll be way better off.

AKG K240 $67.99

Blue Snowball iCE USB mic $39.99

Check this book from the perspective of a platoon leader who is told to assault repeatedly and loses I think 90% of his platoon. How incompetent leaders were really opened my eyes to the negative side of leadership in Vietnam
