I bought the IQ Shield Case Friendly protectors and have had zero issues with the fingerprint scanner. The screen protector is one of those self-healing films so it never carries scratches, but the finger feel is different from glass or the preinstalled protector.

Installation is pretty easy, you basically clean the phone, then spray your fingers and both sides of the screen protector with the included bottle of soapy water, then apply the protector to your phone. Installation is a breeze since until the liquid dries, you can move and adjust the protector without peeling it off the phone. You use the included rubber squeegee to push out any air bubbles, and then after a few minutes of drying, need to use the squeegee and your hands/fingers to make sure it bonds and adheres on the curved edges of the screen.

It took me about 5 minutes to take off the preinstalled protector, clean the phone, apply the new protector, work the bubbles out, and get the edges sticking down.

Once the protector is on, there will be a little bit of optical distortion and maybe some small bubbles that wouldn't work themselves out for at most a couple hours, but the final state is a minimally invasive screen protector that's cheap and effective and works with the fingerprint scanner

IQshield. Got a pack of 2 for $10 on Amazon. It has a pretty similar feel to the preinstalled protector, but softer. Went on easy and bubbles are nonexistent if you do it right, and it's fingerprint resistant.

Edit: when I say fingerprint resistant, I mean it stays clean. It works perfectly fine with the ultrasonic reader.

I'd say pick up a wireless charger it is great to put on a night stand or wherever else you might want to place it.

It is convenient just plug the charging pad in and place S8 on top of it and it'll quick charge your device.

Also forgot Samsung Pay is awesome and the best mobile payment application on the market. Set it up and you can use it at places like McDonald's, CVS, Target, Walmart and other places.

For many years I disdained cases, Manufacturers make beautiful phones and users ugly them up. I rarely dropped a phone, maybe because unlike some people I don't normally walk around holding my phone in my hand. The few times I dropped my HTC phones they didn't break!

If you want it to charge the watch, I strongly recommend getting a first-party Samsung pad. I have a number of other chargers around my apartment and office (from Nimble and Anker) that work fine with my phone and with the charging case for the Buds, but I've only ever been able to get my watch to line up consistently with the chargers from Samsung. The one I have in my bedroom also has a handy little indentation for centering the watch over the coil, which makes it easier to connect:

Note this doesn't necessarily need to be the latest model. If you don't care about having the absolute fastest charging speed for your phone, you can save a little money by buying an older one.

If you want it to fast charge, you need a QC 3.0 power brick. The Samsung power brick is QC 2.0 and won't allow for fast wireless charge of this Seneo one.

I've used these QC 3.0 bricks. without issue in the past for both the phone wired and the Seneo wireless charger. However, now I just use the Seneo with a regular power brick and only slow wireless charge while sleeping and at my desk.

I want to buy a wireless charger for my Galaxy S7 Edge. I am considering two different charging pads. One is the Samsung Qi Certified Fast Charge Wireless Charger Pad - Universally Compatible with Qi Smartphones, and the other is the Samsung Wireless Charger Fast Charge Pad (2018), Universally Compatible with Qi Enabled Phones and Select Samsung Watches.

The only meaningful differences seem to be the price and the compatibility with smart watches. Is this true?
I'll probably just get the cheaper one but figured I'd get some input from y'all.

I ordered this case from spigen, absolutely love their cases. Do you think the screen protectors you linked will be fine with the case? Cant decide between a tempered glass protector and this one from spigen.

I have S8+ with this Spigen case and got the new Samsung fast wireless charger (the one that can be folded). It cannot charge with the case on. My mom with official Samsung S view flip case works perfectly fine.

I think going from 76% to full last night, fast charge said 49 min and I THINK the wired fast charge said 32min.

Class 10 or above is what you want. This U3 samsung card has worked great for 4k video for me.

Was looking at this. Looks quite beefy and still looks modern and decent! anyone know if these are grippy or if this case likes to slide around a lot? Seeing A LOT of mention of the brands SUPCASE and SPIGEN brands.

Apparently over time and if your "rough" with your charging port when you try to plug it in and take it out it wears the actual port over time.
