I like it! It has a few anatomy specific things though. You may want to spend more time looking at Jack's hands throughout the show. The show has a very simple-shape-y style and the hands are much easier than in other shows. Additionally, Jack looks thin but not small in the show because he has broad shoulders and a narrow waist. Your image seems to have his shoulders broad, but the pauldrons make it harder to see and he looks a bit disjointed, plus his waist is pretty wide. If you're going to be doing lots of art of people in the future, you may want to pick up something like this since human proportions are hard to draw on the best of days. One last thing, the feet are very small. They should be about as long as his forearms.
With all that out of the way, this is a very solid start, especially considering how hard it is to draw humans. Keep at it! You could end up a really great vector artist!
Recently revealed via WB's press site. Please do yourself a favor and purchase the blu-ray version of Season 5. DVDs will never do it justice (though I don't see why you'd not want a nice complete boxset with remastered episodes).
I am stoked to see this. I hope we see a preview of how a remastered episode looks. The DVD's for Samurai Jack were plagued by compression artifacts and interlacing, effectively sucking the life out of the artwork.
The only way this boxset could get any better is if they had included a complete soundtrack with it (note apparently Season 5's soundtrack will receive a digital-only release in September, more details as they become available).

If the remaster was done properly, these should look much closer to the original background paintings.
I've put together a series of comparisons by either piecing together the DVD frames to match the wide/panoramic background paintings, or cropping the paintings to match a single background.

Yeah, the whole thing feels like a major cash grab. I think those head sizes would look better on a hat than a shirt.
I do want some S. J. clothing, but am leaning towards this shirt at the moment.
