A pill bottle is generally good enough but if your stuff is a bit dank you're going to want to get something a little better. I know that when I put my stuff in a pill bottle the smell leaks just enough to be noticeable, but again it really depends on the quality of your dank. I keep my stuff in a TightVac container and it works very well. No smell at all.

That being said, you might want to consider keeping your weed outside your dorm if possible. If you have a car, keep it in there. That way, in the unlikely event you are busted and your dorm is searched, they won't find anything except maybe some paraphernalia.

AVB doesn't have a very strong smell. A pill bottle will work fine, I use a glass jar because it's pretty to watch it fill up.

All vapes produce a different amount of smell, but generally it isn't too bad. Some people claim vapor doesn't smell like weed, but that's not really true. If you're inside and not doing anything to help with the smell, it is going to be recognized as weed. But, if you're outside, the only people that will likely smell it is anyone who walks by right after you exhale. Typically nobody will even care if they do smell it. I have been bitched at once while vaping outside, so some people do care, but I say fuck em. It's outside, having the world smell exactly the way you want is an unreasonable expectation, and vapor is not a pungent enough smell to make a big deal over.

If you want to vape inside you're going to need something to help with the smell. I use a smokebuddy and it works pretty good at reducing the amount of smell that you're exhaling. But, your room is still going to end up smelling if you have a medium to long sesh. Don't fear, this smell is easily countered by a candle or maybe two if you have a really long sesh. I'm paranoid so I also have a wax warmer that I leave running most of the time to deal with any residual smell.

With all that combined, you shouldn't run into any problems vaping inside. My RA actually came by our room (for unrelated reasons, to talk to one of my roommates) last night without me knowing. I was taking huge rips in my room the whole time she was in our living room lol. She didn't mention anything about a "funny" smell so I'm guessing my method must be working well enough.

It should be noted though, that you should absolutely never grind your weed in your dorm. In the 2 years I've been vaping inside, the one time I've had an RA come knocking is when I ground up a decent amount indoors. It smells a lot, magnitudes more than vaping, but you don't even really think about it at the time since you're not getting stoned while doing it.

Scissors and a shot glass will get your bud as fine as you need, but it's a little time/labor intensive to chop up enough to pack a couple of bowls. If you can get around $20 together, you can get yourself this, which I use almost every day from Amazon. Grinds bud perfectly and has a screen for collecting kief, the sweet sweet trichomey THC covered nectar of the gods.

I wrote this when someone else made a post about grinders. My two cents on the issue:

You can get a cheap metal grinder on amazon for like $8. But, as me and my flatmate once discussed, you should take some things into consideration when purchasing a grinder. Do you see yourself smoking for a long time? If you do, a grinder will become a crucial tool for years to come. While buying a $100 Kannastor 3" 5 piece may seem crazy in the short term, owning one will definitely pay off.

What are you looking for in a grinder? If you want something that produces kief, look into four pieces. If you really want options in this regard look into a five piece, which will give you the option of an extra layer of kief refinement (my buddy owns a five piece but usually sets it up as a four).

The next thing is concealability. Sometimes if you're living at home and want to keep your toking a secret, there is no shame in owning a two piece grinder. Space Case and Mendo Mulcher make fucking awesome two pieces that will get the job done(you can sometimes even get mendo factory defects off ebay on the cheap). When you use a two piece, you're leaving more of the kief on the bud and you can work the bud to whatever level of grind you want(coarse to fine), so there is an advantage.

Whatever you look for, know some factors about quality. If the teeth sections of a grinder are inserts (you can see a seam like the one between the black and silver metal in this pic http://i.imgur.com/HqR6ekL.png) don't buy it. it may take years, but with enough work the two pieces of metal will separate(I ran into this the other night at a friends place). You want your teeth sections to be milled from one solid piece of metal to avoid this.
If I can give a personal recommendation, I use a Mendo Mulcher 3" four piece and it's my all time favorite grinder. Though I will give credit to Space Cases and Kannastors because they are also quality tools.

I definitely recommend a grinder. I keep one of these as a backup grinder and it's about the cheapest four piece you can get, definitely worth the money. I also use one of these for my travel kit and the 3" Mendo Mulcher is my daily driver.

As far as screens go, I say go glass or use a plug nug (small nug of weed below the ground weed to keep it from pulling through). Glass screens are inert and reusable/easily cleaned. Metal screens clog and they put unnecessary stress on the glass(the metal holds the heat close to the glass, while a glass screen cools at the same rate).

Ey! this might be a late reply and what i am about to say may have already been written but what i did to keep my cabbage good was to use Boveda 62-Percent RH 2-Way Humidity Control, 8 gram - 10 Pack to keep the humidity in check and so that mold does not grow on your delicacy. for storing i used Ball Wide Mouth Pint 16-Ounce Glass Mason Jar with Lids and Bands. hopefully this helps out and keeps your buds good to go for a long time to come! hope you have a great day!

It is a container for weed that is airtight and does not smell, and has a quite good grinder in it, too. The grinder takes a little bit of trail and error before you figure out how tp use it most effectively. Just experiment with how much batch you pack, usually .3 or .4 is best. Twist while grinding kind of gently, and you can come out with something fine enough to use with the MFLB, or a more coarse grind if you prefer. I find these useful because carrying grinders is annoying, and of you have an expensive one they are easy to use. Its perfect for parties, and amaZon wont ask for any ID, so you're fine to order one!

If you're looking for something of a higher quality but willing to spend more money, check out the two other commenters recommendations.

If you're on a budget, the Amazon Chromium Crusher is a great little grinder. I've had it for about 2 years now and it has never failed me. A little bigger (2.5 inches) but well worth the value. I bought it as a temporary until I was of age and could get a good one at a head shop but once I got it I didn't feel the need to upgrade.

The first two say that they are anodized, which won't (or shouldn't...) chip away.

You might want to check out this listing. It's similar to your last link, but significantly cheaper. I have a few friends with this one, and they like it a lot. The shiny silver color will give way eventually with enough rubbing/abrasion, but if you don't care about some minor cosmetic issues, the functionality remains solid. Also, be aware that they ship from China, so it takes a couple weeks to arrive.

I don't have much of a suggestion, though. I think you'll be happy with any of those. Definitely make sure that the grinder you do choose (if not on that list) has 3 chambers - the grinding chamber, the chamber sufficiently ground bud falld into, and a kief catch.

I always put everything away as soon as I've finished, that way I know I'm not going to bump into it, knock it to the floor, etc.

Cleaning on a weekly basis is a good habit to get into, the alcohol and salt is pretty cheap compared to the chemical solutions that are sold that do exactly the same thing and get it no cleaner in the end. Don't forget to clean the bowl and stem. Purchase bottle brushes for the purpose and clean those off after use every week. It will keep your bong looking like new and make sure every different strain smoked tastes as it should.
Also stop by the tobacconist to purchase pipe cleaners, the ones with metal filaments in them, they do an excellent job of keeping those stems clean.

Well, you could just mouth hit it with a lighter and not inhale it. You know, until you stop tasting burnt cotton. Then just blow out all the burnt stuff.

Your best bet for wood is probably going to be pipe cleaners. They were originally created for cleaning wooden and clay pipes. This with a light alcohol/water mix (probably 30alcohol/70water) and a nice drying overnight should have you in ship shape.

As long as you buy a metal multi-section one, you really can't go wrong for the most part. It doesn't really matter all that much which one you decide on, I'm sure they will all get the job done plenty well. I would strongly recommend getting one with a kief catcher though, it will collect in the very bottom and you can smoke pure kief later for a helluva high.

Sorry, I'm ranting. Anyway, look on amazon. There are many options from $5-$30. I would shell out the extra few bucks to get the high quality ones, but you really don't need to if you don't want to.

This 4 piece on amazon is the one I bought, it works fantastically well, and it extremely cheap. I find it very good, in pretty much every way. Although like I said, it's hard to go wrong really.

It doesn't have to be name brand. Honestly I bought this one, and its been working great for months. Sure its not as good as a Santa Cruz, however for $7 its been pretty good.

Honestly almost any digital scale will work fine but something like this will probably be your best bet especially considering how cheap it is.

I actually just got a grinder. I was looking for something super cheap (cause I'd just spent my money on weed) and I got this one (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0023WXZ1O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).

I tried it out. It's good for $7. Also has some good reviews. It has a kief catcher on the bottom. It's nice and small and fits right into my tin that I keep all of my stuff in. If you want to grind more you should probably get a bigger one though. As far as packaging goes, this came in a yellow envelope. Just a plain old yellow envelope. I picked this up in my quad mail room and it wasn't the least bit suspicious.

Do you live in the U.S.?

Trust me, there isn't any piece of legislation in any of the 50 states that categorizes a scale a drug paraphernalia. You can own as many scales as you want without impunity; however, if you are found with both a scale AND drugs in your possession, you may be charged with possession with the intent to distribute. That's real bad, trust me.

You can get a very nice scale like this one for $10 that can measure up to a hundred grams with a .01 accuracy. Just make sure to buy a calibration weight along with it.

A sploof is definitely the way to go, and if you wanna throw down some money for a nice one, I've heard these are great.

I've had this scale for a good 3 years now at least. Never had any problems with it, always been accurate. Measures to the 0.01g, max 100g, lightweight, portable, pretty much anything you can ask for in a small pocket scale.

It's worth noting that they do not come with the 100g calibration weights anymore (mine did when I bought it), so you should pick one of those up as well.

Don't go overboard. Just buy a $10-20 spoon pipe, a nice grinder(this and this are both good ones in different styles), and an eighth of some good weed. Don't go overboard immediately. If you want a bong just get it off DHgate or bongoutlet.ca (most of the bongs you'll find in headshops are the same exact pieces for 500% more). If you want to get a vape the Arizer solo is amazing for $120 and the MFLB is decent for $80. Since it's a legal state there's really no reason to bother with joints unless you really like them. Any papers / grinders / rollers you can get on amazon really cheaply.

Also get some of these screens for the bowls, they basically stop all weed from getting sucked in

Grinder
I've used this grinder for about 3 months now and it works great, only thing is its a tad on the small size, but if you are just starting out its cheap and you probably won't need to grind a lot at once.


Bowl
This bowl is similar to the one I have, I got mine from the same seller and it works great, they burn a little hot because the shape of the bowl is so wide and a lot of air can get in there, but its ~5inches so it cools down quite a bit before it gets to you.

I'd give it a shot, so long as your parent's don't go through your mail, if that's a risk then you should try and go to a gas station/general store that looks a bit sketchy and look around, I know there are a few convenance stores around me that sell bongs and bowls, they're marked "for tobacco use only" but everyone knows thats not what they're for. Also maybe try vape shops/cigar shops for other materials, just know you will pay a premium price if you go to a store rather than online.

It's great if you smoke more solo than in a group, where you don't need as much, and I can grind as much as I'll need in one go.

If you're more of a group smoker, I'd still recommend it, just know heavier users are gonna use it a few times.

I've never seen a rolling machine like that before. However, I personally use a RAW rolling machine for my jay's and they come out a perfect .6 grams (paper + filter too) everytime.

Aluminum is only okay if it's been treated specially. I believe the term is galvanized but I'm not entirely sure. I would recommend Zinc, however. Doesn't chip as easy and is a solid grinder. I should warn that zinc grinders are just naturally heavier than aluminum grinders. Personally I like the heft to it. Makes it feel more solidly constructed.

I'll say this right now, you shouldn't smoke weed if your mom doesn't want you to while you live under her roof. You also shouldn't do it if you promised you won't.

That being said, If I was your age I promise I would be doing the same thing so with that in mind if you plan to continue you should not do it at her house or at the very least not when she is anywhere near the house.

Some tips for smell:

1. Get a vape.
   
   
2. Seriously, get a vape. It's easily the best smell reduction tip on this list.
   
   
3. Smoke in the bathroom with the fan on and a towel covering the door crack.
   
   
4. Make a sploof to reduce smell. or better yet, buy one.
   
   
5. If you have to combust you can buy a metal bat. With this you won't get rid of the smell but you will be doing smaller more controlled hits. The downside to the sploof is it doesn't cover the actual burning of the herb just the exhale. A bat combined with this is the least smelly way to combust.
   
   If your mom is out of the house you could also make firecracker edibles.

My cop out suggestion is to get a joint roller on amazon. They take a little trial and error (the first time i used it [4] i made it explode and my weed got all over me) but once you get it right it makes perfect

If you're looking for a 4 piece grinder with a kief catch... Make sure you don't say kief. Proper term is pollen. Made that mistake once lol. Also, if you have the money, I'd grab a small spoon pipe. See if they have filter tips (example), would be better than card stock.

Taking Xanax (or similar meds) isn't uncommon for people to take with weed or psychedelics to kill the high/trip if things go south, but I do agree that it can get annoying having done it myself a few times. Good tips just wanted to add a few things. Burning incense and sprays might tip off parents that you're trying to hide something. Also instead of a sploof if you can get a Smoke Buddy do it, they work crazy well. Also put a fan facing out of the window to blow the smoke out. Smoke tinier amounts more frequently, one of the hardest things to control is the excess smoke, so try and only pack enough for a single hit, you can always pack more later. Also always assume that you're parents are one step ahead of you, don't take anything for granted and don't get complacent.

How much were you told was there? This looks like good mids with bad trimming. Maybe like 2.5-4 but it's hard to tell, you aren't size comparing to anything. It's hard to just measure how much is there from a picture. This will answer your question better than asking a bunch of internet strangers with a picture.

I have a Chromium Crusher and it works REALLY well.

I had that same problem with a grinder. It scrapped it and ended up forcing me to either start allowing metal pieces in my ground herbs or throw it away.

That grinder is essentially useless... A better call might be one of these and then just buy a wooden dugout from any smoke shop, or buy one of those cig one hitters and just keep your container full of already ground up weed.

A blunt is constantly burning, so constantly releasing smoke, and is one of the smelliest ways to smoke, even if you're using a sploof. If you smoke a blunt in your room, it will smell. And on another note, if you're just using dryer sheets in a cardboard tube your sploof will not be very effective. Invest in a smoke buddy if stealthy smoking is a legitimate concern for you. It has a carbon filter that will eliminate any trace of smell. Definitely saved my ass a few times. Ozium is another good thing to have on hand. That shit is the most hardcore air freshener on the planet. You can find it in most gas stations, smoke shops, auto parts stores, or walmart.

Thank you for posting this! Also, if you wanna spend a little money, I highly recommend a Smoke Buddy Jr. . Most are only ~$10 and there's no point in getting a full size one. Literally no smoke or smell comes out of the other end and it saves you from having to make your own sploof every time.

like others said below, 4 chamber grinder is all you need. if you want to make more kief, put a coin in the second chamber (where the bud falls once its ground) and shake it a bit every time you use it. the coin knocks more kief off the bud and sends its through the screen. And if you want a shiiiit ton quickly, pack your grinder nearly full, throw it in the freezer for about 5 or 10 mins or so, just so its nice and cold, then shake it up

Really wish people took heed of these wise words.. We can look at nugs all we want, but without the feel, true density is a very hard thing to try and 'guesstimate'.. I suggest you buy a scale. They are very inexpensive, and will most likely end up saving you money. There are many to choose from, and you do not need to be of age to make the purchase. You can purchase them online for as little as $8 w/ shipping included. If you aren't so fond of getting items shipped to your (or your parent's house), you can always go to your nearest Ace Hardware, or just about any supply store (home depot, menards, lowes, just to name a few) and pick up a digital jewelry scale for less than $20.

I have something similar to this. Just a small, vacuum sealed container. Holds like, a quarter and is small and compact and zero smell. I can have it packed full of green, but no smell comes from it at all. I've had friends sniff it and were shocked to see weed in it.
