Honestly, no reason to hold out for a bluray set. The show was never shot in HD so the only upside would be just more episode in SD per disk. You can get this and it has a lot of nice stuff with it. There is another set coming out soon that won't have this and will be a lower price point by about 50-75 dollars. It'll probably have the same special features on the disks (rare they'll remaster the disks except to add stuff) but minus the extras like the book and attractive looking case.

All the seasons are on DVD and have been out for a long time, chances are that he's seen them all already. However the DVDs do have outtakes and those are hilarious. You might also think about buying him something like this:

Sorry for the potato pic. I took a new kids book out of the library and found this in the dedication.

The book is about a Whale: Beachy by Bob Stakke.

A book called the Seinfeld Aptitude Test was my go to Seinfeld Trivia outlet. It is out of production. I did a quick search and there is one on ebay for $30. Amazon looks to have some for dirt cheap though.

there is one on Amazon but doesn't look as good as Kramer's. No legs or anything.

I would add this to my list but my family has already bought all their Christmas this year...
