What a sweetheart. They make cat treats in a tube that you can get in grocery stores or amazon and it is like cat crack but smooth & calorie dense. I think this sweetie would like some. Delectables Squeeze Up Hartz Cat Treats Variety Pack Bundle of 2 Flavors (Tuna, Chicken; 2.0 oz Each) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NXYDFFC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hALUCb3MZ5YXC

This could be more effective if you are interested in helping with their nutritional needs (this kind is identical ingredients to the more expensive) Tomlyn High Calorie Nutritional Gel for Cats, (Nutri-Cal) 4.25 oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000FO3R6K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MDLUCb774EHS7

Best of luck. Kiss that warm black fur for me

Maybe her change in behavior is caused by her medications (vidalta, antibiotic) interacting with each other and causing dementia-like symptoms. I know for sure that this can happen with older people. For her peeing outside the litter box, try a box that's easier for her to enter, such as http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0087Y5NKS. Best of luck!

It's pricy but it's nice and soft and the cover is easy to clean.

Here's an Amazon link to what I just got my little one. The 3-step size is good for an average size cat. Pet Gear Easy Step III Pet Stairs, 3-step/for cats and dogs up to 150-pounds, Chocolate https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003SZUNQU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_QZL0xbTBHKKGW

If heights are starting to get a bit more difficult for your kitty, also consider looking into a heated bed or a little pet-safe heating pad and put a soft blanket or towel over the top of it. They sell the heater elements separately so you can just put one under your regular cat bed. In any case, kitties that are jumping to high heights less are often doing so because of arthritis or similar symptoms that can be easily relieved with heat in many cases. If you offer a heated area and find your kitty hanging out in it a lot, even when it's not remotely cold otherwise, consider asking the vet about some kitty-safe pain killers as well. Best of luck!

Wow, someone else who is dealing with multiple health issues. It's a real struggle. The meds have side effects and then you need something else to control the side effect, which also has side effects. On and on it goes.

My 16 year old kidney cat had her annual visit and I mentioned she is drinking and peeing a lot. Now it appears we are going down the diabetes path. I'm wondering if this is caused by the steroid she's been taking. We'll see.

I have a postal scale similar to this one: https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Shipping-Postage-Battery-Included/dp/B01DF28A3S/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=postal+scale

It has 0.1 oz resolution at cat weights and has DC power instead of batteries. It's much smaller than the baby scales. Cat may have to be in a box or enclosure to fit on the scale, but it has a tare function.

I like this it's convertible from steps to ramp and can be folded and put away too if necessary. Didn't know this kind of option was out there. I just made mine from scrap lumber.
